Warnock to Carlton

Pretty soft effort by Fremantle, just gave in at the end of the day. They've been massively ripped off.

You think so? They've received a better deal than just pick 24 from Carlton.

That's part of it though Freak. Why did he choose Carlton over us?

To play with Judd. That and receive $$$ from VISY

i must be different you IKT.. i prefer to think of grimes, morton, watts, maric, bate, jones mclean, garland and co being our future..

your pathetic!

Great thinking. They should have played tough and let Warnock go through to the PSD....and they would have got nothing.

Brilliant.

I might just go cry in to pick #1.

Seriously, could you guys be any more melodramatic? I don't get why it's such a big deal that we didn't pick up a couple of B grade players (if they were 'A' grade they wouldn't be 'seeking opportunities elsewhere'). I think 'no result' isn't a terrible thing for us by any means.

I am disappointed that there wasn't any takers for a couple of the hacks that were inquired about like CJ though.

A ray of common sense in a very ordinary thread.

hmm all these wonderful midfielders...sorry who gets it to them?

shall we just rely on the opposition ruckmen then huh?

and me pathetic? Melbourne can't even convince a 20 game player + loads of playing to come to us

i dont think i can be more pathetic than the dees right now

Are you kidding? Carlton gave up pick 24 and pick 52 for a largely speculative ruckman.

Fremantle, who had no choice but to let him go, get pick 24 and pick 52 (the other two picks were just swapping in the 6th round).

Fremantle is the winner here.

Fu%$ sake god we are shithouse at recruiting.

Haha. You should try being a Freo supporter. Then you'll really see what it's like to suck at recruiting/trading. :(

I would'nt have even put up Pick 35 for him! Rapped he has gone to Visycap! Little does he know! He now has to give gobby's! Visy Style! Juddy will show him how too please Mr. Pratt.

Palmer is doing alright, great pickup for his pick.

This won't leave the Blues with many picks in this draft.

I suppose they've finally stopped trying to bottom out...

Huh, yeah. They 'll go strait from the bottom, (courtesy of the free AFL get out of jail card), strait to the top 4 by 2010, if not earlier. <_<

Yeah, I know. I do feel for you guys. It's called empathy.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
