Watts will be a utility at AFL level, and will either turn into the next James Hird or another Aaron Fiora type.

Naitanui is actually a little bit of a hack as far as I'm concerned, and could become a gigantic blunder if he doesn't develop his footy skills and smarts. I still think Danny Rich is going to become the best player out of this draft, based on what little I've seen of him. Unfortunately, he's West Australian, so the "go-home" risk is probably a little high.

I'm interested, YM, in why you think Watts won't play solely in the forward-line.

YM ppl try to ignore your posts as much as they can, coz they are always rubbish, but is it really necessary to post how much you like Naitanui more than Watts every 2 days?

Watts is definitely a key forward, and played as such for most of the championships. The fact he can play on the wing or on a flank is a bonus and is necessary in modern football (flexibility that is). Watts will be a star no doubt. 14 of 16 afl club recruiters apparently rate him number 1 pick from what i've been told.

Naitanui on the other hand, could be a star. His tap work is awesome, as is his tackling. However he averages about 8-10 possies a game this season... that's really not good enough for a top pick. Their are huge question marks whether this area of his game will improve at afl level. perhaps it will, but still too huge a risk to take.

Watts or Rich for me thanks. Either nab ourselves a star mid or a star forward.

When was Morton a CHF? He played most of his junior football for Claremont and WA running along the wings and flanks. He has key position height, but don't think he's played much KP because of his twig-like body shape.

Don't know about that. Watts at No.1, then Rich/Naitanui will go to WC/Freo. Vickery to Port. Hurley will go to either Essendon or Carlton (so pick 5 or 6), Ziebell, Sidebottom and Hartlett will fill up 3 of the spots 5, 6, 7 and 8.

Watts is only 17 and 194cm, he's already over 85kg meaning he'll get much too heavy to play extended stints in the midfield. He will be a KP forward, maybe with the ability to pinch hit in the midfield like Pavlich, or run up the wings like a Richo or Riewoldt.

194 and still growing, 2.80 20 m sprint off on the lead, takes great pack marks. he will be up there, you dont have to be MASSIVE to be a KPP foward- look at franklin, built like a rake. look at mckinley- under 190cm. look at medhurst- under 185 cm.
