Missed clutch shots aside, Pavlich's year has been exception considering who he's playing for.

If Neitz had kicked as many as what Pav did everyone on here would be wetting their pants about how good he is

Not bad. Backline and forward lines look spot on. S. Johnson, Medhurst and Motlop all play a similar role so I doubt that all 3 will get in. A 2nd ruckman possibly Hille, in for Medhurst.

Joel Selwood in for Deledio.

Dont like seeing Judds name in there. Not because we didnt get him, but because he doesnt deserve it and would be getting in on reputation alone. Wouldnt even have him as Calrtons best mid this year, let alone AA.

Never been interested in Individual awards including those based on opinion

To the MFC its meaningless and has no impact on next season

Its also nothing to do with how many Demons are represented or even any at all which is sure to be the case after a dismal season

To those who get picked sure it is quite an achievment but has no bearing on a team result

like i said, its a prediction of what i think it will be, not what i would have.

Unbelievably Mo, Hille didnt even make the initial squad of 40. I'm also surprised the Brendon Lade love-fest at the AA table didnt continue this year, seems no matter how he plays he gets a nom.

And given there's no Melbourne players I couldnt give a stuff. Having said that, when the telecast is on FoxFooty later tonight I can guarantee I'll be watching in lieu of anything else half decent to watch

TBH, I was struggling to think of a 2nd ruckman who's had a consistant year. I haven't seen the initial squad of 40, but they generally select 2 ruckmen.

Judd not only making it, but being captain is abit of a joke IMO. Getting by on reputation now. I know he was right up there at the top for contested possessions this year, but there were still players, especially midfielders, who were far better this year. I'd say Sam Mitchell was one of them. Brett Kirk another.

Really didnt deserve it, and Im sure Chris would be the first person to admit that.

Wankfest.

Yeah not the most talented player ever selected :P They always put a second ruck in though, and none of the rucks were really consistent through out the whole year. Hille was good for part of it, Petrie also despite being used in several positions though.

Motlop pretty stiff to miss. Kicked what 60 odd goals or so in a team that came 13th. Bit like Robbo for us a few year back, though we did well that year

Despite those few mistakes, it's probably one of the better AA teams of the last few years.

I could of picked 5 guys or even more who deserved the captain more than Judd.

What a bloody joke!

Absolute disgrace to the whole event.

I even beg the debate that Sam mitchell who didnt even make the team would be a better captain than show poney judd.

Selwood should of been in the team ahead of judd.

Crap crap crap

Dont really see to many wrong choices here, though i would not have minded if J.Brown was at CHF (not saying Riewoldt doesnt deserve his spot).

Think they got it pretty right, though I'm sure there will be plenty of debate as everyone has an opion.

Yes, one might be fogiven for thinking, ne expecting that the Capt of the dominiant team all season might get the nod for al-OZ !! I think Harley © and Judd (vc) makes for a better taste in the mouth

Leaves it all loooking a bit pre-ordained etc. Youd think they pick the best 2nd ruck..for the 2nd ruck !!

All a bit conspired for mine !! surprise surprise ....surprise !!!

How long until we have a player that even gets close to AA, and who was our last one? Sad times.

Even in Melbourne's better years they don't seem to have any players make the team (Farmer was the only player to make it in 2000). McDonald was the last player in 2006.

Posted
what was that?

Almost right. Pavlich didn't make the starting 18. There could of been more worthy for the interchange bench IMO, ie. Ling.

Jonathan Brown and Bradshaw kicked more than Pavlich, Rob Murphy had a stellar year and Ryan O'Keefe was unlucky. All of these I would have had ahead of Pavlich who has already won 5 All Australians before last night, making it a compelling case.

In my opinion, Adrian Anderson should not be on this selection committee. He went over to America, he went to Beijing and missed a weekend of footy. It is a farce that he is on this panel.
