You know, if Green is worth say a pick around the 20 mark, & davey, maybe around say pick 13, I'd rather combine them not for one pick of say 4, but I'd prefer to get something like a package of pick 8 + 26 from the Tiges or 9 & 27 from the Roos. This would give us more talent spread with high quality & also multiplies the chances of fluking a superstar.

Pick order 1 - 27

1 - Melbourne

2 - West Coast

3 - Fremantle

4 - Port Adelaide

5 - Essendon

6 - Carlton

7 - Brisbane

8 - Richmond

9 - North Melbourne

10 - Adelaide

11 - Collingwood

12 - Sydney

13 - St Kilda

14 - Western Bulldogs

15 - Geelong

16 - Hawthorn

17 - Melbourne

18 - West Coast

19 - Melbourne

20 - West Coast

21 - Fremantle

22 - Port Adelaide

23 - Essendon

24 - Carlton

25 - Brisbane

26 - Richmond

27 - North Melbourne

Packaged him up! I would prefer Pick 4,5 or 6 if we can get it then a spread of picks you have mentioned. To get Watt's and Vickery would be super. Or Rich and Nat if we went that way!

exactly

watts will be one but then imagine one of vickery, rich, naitanui as well! even yarran now that he probably won't slip through to 17 and bailey singled him out with the guys in the top 4. impressive and we may get pick 5 or 6 not 4 from port depending on who wants our package

i suggest Green, Bell and pick 35 for pick 4/5/6

(dw i was kidding when i said bell and 35..hence the "they may if they really want him" )

i think the blues will give up there picks for o'keefe and warnock definitely. they are probably in a position where they can top up after scooping the draft pool for the last 4-5 years!!!

Freo have knocked back pick 24 offer by Carltank for Warnock. See here.

But do you think the Blues will give up 6 for O'Keefe and 24 for Warnock and forget about the draft until the third round (pick 41)?

I didn't say the Dons would give up pick 5. They would get a pick in return for Lovett (ie say pick 22 from Port for example). They would then have 5,22,23,... .

My point is they may use that pick 22, on forward it for say Colin Sylvia (god forbid not)....

Leaving us, 1,17,19,22,35,51,67.

Yes I do, Carltank have a deficit of quality experienced players who also have finals winning form & good leadership.

They have more than enough young guns, but will draft more young blue collar players this draft.

Didn't Brock Mclean have flirtations with Richmond?

Yes he did.

SOME people on here are morons, he has every right to do whatever he wants, I wouldn't wanna play for a bunch of whiney keyboard heroes like some of you either.

he didnt shop himself to richmond. they approached us.

green is the definition of a tool when it comes to money and melbourne players- only had to watch the footy show when he wouldn't comment on how much he donated to the club. i remember robert walls mentioning one day at aami stadium when we were getting done like we usually do over there, 10 goals down alst qtr and green started celebrating fist pumping a goal that made it 54 points...and walls, rightly so, hoed into him. that day it opened my eyes and realised he is a tool- sure he's a good player and i've liked having him play for the dees, but i wont be sorry to see him go if he does

Just spotted the following on Demonology, from Turn Them Over.

"Spoke to Jim Stynes last night at the local Noodle Bar and he said that Brad hadn't signed and he was letting the Club know sometime in the next few days."

"letting them know in the next few days" doesn't sound too convincing does it! sounds like he might be leaving.

Well you seem to be on a get rid of Green tear, based on a rumour (we really don't know, nor should we what is really going on) you seem to want to believe.

So frankly your opinon has become fairly negligable, no matter how often its stated and repeated, again and again and.......

Brock's manager may have but Brock was never leaving. To suggest it is offensive considering what this bloke has done for the club.

And hopefully will do when made captain

Refer to the article in todays Australian for this rumours elevation to near fact.

so if green hasn't signed by tomorrow do we just go on ahead and trade him?

we cant afford to have him not sign and not traded by the end of this week, where he has all thepower - sign this contract or i walk into the PSD.

the PSD nomination should close by this Friday aswell, so that everyone is on equal footing regarding who goes where. you need to make a decision or you dont play next year.

Let him go into the PSD and we'll pick him up again and put him on a 2 year deal on base salary! Shove that up your ass Brad!

    RAIN CHECK by Whispering Jack

The Frankston Dolphins broke a run of six straight losses against their neighbours, the Casey Demons and kept their hopes for a long-awaited return to the VFL finals alive with a 27 point victory over at Kinetic Stadium. Casey was welcomed to the Peninsula by grey skies, heavy rain and angry seas with threatening white-capped waves whipped up by gale force winds. After a slow start in the opening term when they failed to take advantage of the breeze, it appeared that the Demons had decided

DEMONLAND - Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland 2024 Grand Final Podcast ... before we took that last phone call from a Demonlander, we were discussing how the club overcame it’s midseason slump, the season-ending injury to Christian Petracca and the loss for a brief period of skipper Max Gawn due to a  crack to the base of his right fibula, to slowly surge up the ladder turning our detractors into believers and how it ended the year triumphant in the finals with our capta

EARLY BIRDS by KC from Casey

Wet, slippery conditions and threatening rainfalls greeted the VFL Bombers at the end of their long journey southeast of the big city on Sunday. The threatening weather combined with the fact that neither side had realistic prospects of advancing to action in September, meant that spectators gathered at a cold Casey Fields weren’t expecting a classic exhibition of football. Nor did they get one. Instead they were presented with a dour struggle that never reached great heights. It was a

Who said the football gods and scoreboard attendants at the MCG don’t have a sense of humour? The gods spent a whole week teasing Demon and Bomber fans alike about Saturday night’s game. About how the entire match would be dominated by the hulking, brooding figures of 205cm Sam Draper and his 2IC Peter Wright lapping it up in the absence of Melbourne skipper and the club's No.1, No 2, No 3 and No 4 ruckman Max Gawn in the wake of that ankle injury. They painted pictures of Simon Goodwin ne
