Didak in the PSD

No. We already have Wonna, Sylvia, Robbo who play small forward. He's overrated and only considering to be such a great player because he plays for the magpies.

I hate Collingwood as much as the next football supporter, but IMO Didak is one player they have that does deserve the credit he receives for his on-field performance.

He's a gun player- yes, he's also a complete fool and scum favourite, but i don't doubt his quality as a footballer.

Having said that, i'd say probably 'no'. Too old, culture sore. The only thing that stops me from completely ruling him out would be price: if we were able to get him to the club for say, a 3rd round pick (which is what the Bulldogs gave up for Aker?), i wouldn't be too unhappy to see him in red and blue.

Clubbing is ok, its the trouble that they find themselves in that is not ok.

Clubbing + Didak = Trouble

Just seems one of the universal laws. I reckon he's got off lightly, and it's because Collingwood rate him so highly. He's good, no doubt, I hate to see wasted talent so I hope he learns something although he's had his chances already.

He was at a pub so I would be looking more at the drink as the cause of the trouble.

Just throwing it out their guys.. i know alot of water has to go under the bridge yet, but if the pies were silly enoughto sack him and we had first pick in the PSD would you be happy for him to come to our club with alot of young players.

I would, it's a PSD pick, not alot to lose..

Interested to hear what you think?

Don't touch the drunk driving scumbag from Collingwood.

He seems a little confused with the term GUN AFL player.

Total peanut don't go there, he's headed for Jail

I find it ludicrous that anyone would contemplate picking up Didak or Shaw irrespective of their future availability

Club culture is parramount

We dont want idiots at Melbourne irrespective of their football ability

As of right now, Didak is a significantly better player than any of those three. Also only turns 26 at the start of next year. In my view, he is probably almost a genuine goal-kicking midfielder now, rather than predominantly a small forward.

To put it in context, if he played for the MFC and had the same stats this year, he would be:

#1 in kicks (by over 100)

#2 total disposals

#1 goals

Collingwood are in a situation where they basically have to trade him so they won't get full market value, particularly given his priors. Question is whether Bailey thinks he can manage the risk because the potential reward is very high.

I doubt it is at all likely, but we would certainly be foolish not to at least look at it.

But he's such good mates with Sylvia! Think of the all good times and bonding they could share, helping Melbourne become a happier place and an unstoppable force on-field! :)

Yes Big Al would be such a good influence on Col wouldn't he!!! Considering Col has set the Footy World on fire over the last Two years. Walk away from Didak he is Trouble..............

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
