Was great to see the Legends do a lap at the 'G' today. (though I am getting sick of seeing relatives with players at every occasion).

Was particularly pleased to hear the cheers when certain players names were announced - in particular Shane Woewodin.

Though he did sweat red and blue, I agreed with the decision to sell him at the time. But gee, it was great to see him there and hear the fans give him a cheer.

Must have been great for the players to run thorugh the line up of past MFC players at the start of the game.

Well done MFC - it was a very well planned day - despite the loss,

Did anyone else get just slightly annoyed with the constant playing of the theme song?

I thought it was a bit much before the game, when we hadn't won anything.

I thought the trumpeter going out of time was a bit funny. Everyone clapping along to the trumpeting Grand Old Flag tune then he does a bit of freestyle between verses and all the clapping has to stop and retime

I didn't.

Me neither.

I actually thought the MFC deserves some credit for the functions on the weekend and well done to all that attend the functions and participated..

Can someone tell me where Garry Lyon was? He didn't call the game on MMM (or so I heard), but that shouldn't have prevented him from being there anyway.

Apparently he was double booked weeks in advance - said so on F/C

His kids were there though

Did sound odd, because even on F/C he said that he only found out about the march a couple of weeks ago. Please. It's been paraded around by the club (no pun intended) since late last year. In our 150th birthday celebration weekend, with a game against Collingwood, odd he wouldn't think something was on.

Oh well

Makes you wonder how close Garry Lyon has been to behind the scenes at MFC in the past. Hope that changes going forward. Lyon could bring alot to the Club...if he wanted to.

I was surrounded by Pies fans and they pretty much all cheered for Woey. So that might explain the loud roar.

The game was a Melbourne HOME game. They should play the theme song 100 times before every home game in my opinion. They should also drape red and blue across every possible spare inch of space at the ground and they should fly MFC flags from every possible flag pole in sight.

Call it a dream but it was nice to actually have a home game feel like one for once.

Yesterday in general just felt like a real FOOTY day, in the sense that everything about it felt like you were really at the footy. Walking to the G in drizzly conditions certainly helped.

Fights in the game, big crowd, historic conditions (because as if we get to play on a saturday on the G), tough game, close one, a few really good perfomances, overcast.

Only thing missing was the result

Why would i get annoyed hearing "It's a Grasnd old Flag" played on ouir home ground?? Haven't heard it much lately-Played while the "Filth Fans" had to sit and Listen. Doesn't get much better than that I reckon.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
