PREGAME: Rd 16 vs Brisbane
I've searched far and wide for positives against Brisbane and here it is: In the last three weeks, Brisbane smashed the dogs and port away. In between, they came home and stank it up against the saints and narrowly escaped with the win. If we bring the pressure, we can serve it up to the lions. Go Dees!

Kynan (Pup) Brown Debut announced by Alex Neal-Bullen on MFC website.
Great news. He looked very at home at this level in the practice games and had a huge crack (not in the plumber's sense)

Christian Petracca’s 2024 Season Ending Injuries
Claims the Petracca family were/are frustrated or angry with the club are an utter crock. The evidence put forward by Tom Morris and Caro is a total reach: - The strongest evidence they have is Petracca removed a post from his Instagram account - They tried to lend weight to their assertions by saying his family were said to be frustrated (Morris) but no reference or source. Caro was much the same but she didn't actually articulate the family were unhappy, just inferred. Hogwash!

I'd feel disloyal but probably do it with something back. I think LDU has massive upside in a good system. He and Trac would be a formidable combo.

PREGAME: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne
We need to focus on applying manic pressure from the start of the game. We've completely lost sight of this since earlier in the season and teams know they can sap our strength and confidence by turning up the heat. North Melb will certainly be playing a high-pressure game and know we are ripe for the picking. If we get bogged down in trying to deflect pressure and [censored] ourselves, we can pencil in a loss. We need to turn the tables and turn up the pressure. It's amazing how much confidence can grow from causing turnovers.

CASEY: RD 11 vs Collingwood VFL
I'd say a big downgrade in the quality of the opposition but a noticeable increase in intensity and commitment to the task by the Casey players.

AMW!
Thanks for the info @Tarax Club. I missed the game but have watched his previous Casey games in defence. In those games, he appeared to lack any kind of defensive mindset. Found plenty of the footy but was routinely caught with the pill, turned the ball over or made poor decisions in trying to attack the game. I was very impressed with his attempts to fix or make up for his errors. Never dropped his head once. Perhaps he's starting to get a feel for the role. Like everyone, I really hope he succeeds at the Dees.

Whispering in the Umpires Ears
I reckon this 'whisper' might have happened to umpire no. 22 more than once: "I think you'll need to pay Melbourne a free before the end of the game - it's getting a little obvious"

Footy Mullets
If we're splitting hairs (tee hee), I'm a traditionalist and can only consider the classic mullet: This is pure business up the front and party out the back. Sparrow and Sestan don't count as they have what's professionally known in the industry as long hair, although Sestan, in some circles might pass as a whispy mullet. But, in my book, there's not enough business up the front. The purest mullet running around at the moment is Jake Waterman. It's a pearler! If he was single before opting for that doo, he certainly still would be.

Footy Mullets
I think they need to redefine their mullet criteria. According to them, MFC has 6 mullets: Jack Viney, Jake Lever, Tom Sparrow, Tom Fullarton, Kynon Brown and the Kolt. In my book, you can cross out Jack Viney and Tom Sparrow from the outset - they're not mullets! There's also a technical issue in that Fullarton and Brown grow their hair longer to soften the wingnut effect- also not mullets! That leaves Tholstrup and Lever. In my expert opinion, Tholstrup is the genuine article and Lever has a mini-mullet!
