  1. Agree, but I think he's a beautiful field kick. There was a patch of games at Casey where it just looked like his head wasn't in the game. He lacked intensity and focus. He's certainly not a physical player yet. He seems to more switched on recently and looking to impact the game. I was surprised in the recent re-signing interview where he said he had put on 6 kgs since arriving at the Dees. He still has a lot more to add. I like the Jarred Waite and early days JUH comparison.
  2. The Ox had that in one of his ACL surgeries - probably the last. I remember him being interviewed sometime after and saying he had something from a cadaver in his knee and how he found it unnerving.
  3. Perhaps Clarry was unaware of the press release by Richo stating he would play if he got through training. He may have been thought he had to be vague about it. That coupled with his gift of the gab (not) equals that mess of an interview.
  4. Dannyz has his finger on the pulse. The journo's are aiming for nearest to the pin.
  5. I think Gawn would give him a run for his money in a sprint. He's a plodder. If we wanted to get a Luke Dunstan-style depth player, then OK, but I don't think SOS and Jo would travel that far to watch him play at Casey. I like that he has a decent crack.
  6. Babybel, it's you - Camembert Bacharach Melting - Paris Stilton OK, now I'm just getting silly....

  8. A couples eyes meet and one nods toward the dancefloor. The other, reaches for the cheese:
  9. On top of being [censored], the Kangas get to travel to Hobart after playing in Perth. Happy to manage players that need it.
  10. Anything by John Farnham is cheese-filled
  11. Gawn Viney Petty Petracca Melksham Rivers Stiff: Langdon, JVR, Brayshaw
  12. Grundy said last year he wanted to stay in Melb - not return to Adelaide. Stick that up ya clacker Damo
  13. They were saying in the Age he's playing wing. I thought it was half back? If it's wing, he'd be great.
  14. I'm ok if Geelong finishes fourth if that's the case, but still prefer 9th or lower.
  15. 'Our grand final' is puzzling. Delusions right there.
  16. Smith will have to get a game soon. The coaches don't like letting them play sub for too long as they lose match fitness. I expect Smith will get a whole game and most likely in the ones. Mind you, playing less game time probably helps with his propensity to get injured.
  17. 6 Viney 5 Koz 4 Brayshaw 3 Lingers 2 Chandler 1 Gawn
  18. While it's common knowledge he's a card-carrying [censored]-wit, I found myself wondering (while watching the game) how on earth he managed to a) become captain and b) hold the position for so long. There's no way Brisbane could possibly win a premiership with that [censored] at the helm. His tool antics just undermines everything they're trying to be/achieve.
  19. Agree Mo, it's a sad state of affairs. It's like the VFL is the plaything of the AFL. With the stroke of a pen, they'll mess with the clubs to suit their ever-shifting priorities. It's offensive that clubs with proud histories can just go by the wayside or be tossed about in an ever-changing competition. I'm not sure I'd want to play for a VFL side (aside from an obvious lack of talent). You either get thumped every week while scrounging for loose change from the AFL or make up the numbers for an AFL reserve side. Not my idea of a pathway to AFL or a recipe for building a strong community-based club.
  20. Yeah, I think Casboult gave Turner a touch up.
  21. This made me chuckle. Crouch is definitely in with Himmelberg on the extended bench LOL
  22. Yes, I know. I normally watch the AFL live stream, but televised is preferred as you get much better coverage and replays of goals, tackles etc
  23. The Good: Better kick than most of our mids, generally composed with good skills, good role player, versatile, team first. The bad: A bit plodding The ugly: N/A It's a shame the club hasn't seen fit to play him more. I'd have him ahead of Harmes, Dunstan and Laurie. I like Laurie's smarts and skills but just not sure he'll cut it at the next level.
