I think we'll definitely attempt to get Duursma but not sure North will be fun to deal with.
  2. They just did a top 40, not a phantom draft. But by their ranking we would have Caddy and Leake

We have late picks available as well if needed - in the 90's, I think. So, it's immaterial if we have 42 or not, so long as we have the correct no. of players on the list when it's all said and done.

    Kane Cornilands

Good grief! I forecast months of cringeworthy Cornes substituting Petty for Kozzie in his next made-up story.
  6. Welcome to the Dees Jack. I'm confident the Dees will give you every opportunity to thrive. I hope you flip the bird to Stephen "we haven't spoken to Mebourne" Silvani on the way out.
  7. A bit like the Hawks - they want a second-round pick for Koschitske yet only offer a third for Chol (along with a 4 year deal).
  8. If we play our first game interstate, doesn't it mean our last game is at home? I could certainly handle that. Home game at the G please in round 35 or wherever we're up to
  9. There will be some very unlucky players to miss. I'd like Chaplin to stay in. She's such a good kick!
  10. 6 Bannan 5 Purcell 4 Hore 3 B Mackin 2 West 1 Hanks Stiff - Watt
  11. Yes, Farris White played for another team a number of times (can't remember who). So did Bradtke
  12. We should have offered the Crows a third rounder first. They could've had their tantrum, we counter-offer with the future second and everybody's happy. I think that comes straight out of the AFC Trading Play Book
  13. Would 6 & 11 get us up to Duursma?

    Thanks for clarifying
  15. When I finished laughing at that offer, I realised they're no doubt running the same game with Collingwood for Adams and will attempt to get us to fight over their second-rounder. I'd back the Swans needing Grundy more than Adams.
  16. If you have a contract for $400k (or whatever it is) 2024, you're not going to retire and take up a job that's likely to pay a fraction of that. That's my thinking on BBB anyway.
  17. Huh? Sydney will play ball or be without a ruckman. We'll be fair in what we ask or they can sod off.
  18. Shultz is like a small forward bull. I was keen to get him last year when out of (rookie) contract and am devastated he wants to go to the goddam filth
  19. Agree. I'm thinking and hoping, they've been offered end of 1st or more fittingly a 2nd rounder, which explains the posturing by North. I hope the Bombers stick to their guns. Dodee received an end of 1st and is a superior player to Mackay. North would have made off like bandits by now if they got what they were dreaming of.

Pick 5 for 31-year-old Tommy 'Moonboot' Lynch? Crazy talk
  21. I heard the same (about the Veterans spot)
  22. I've watched him play and disagree with the above
  23. I agree we have the better midfield, but I think what gets lost in the argument is the depth. We've lost JJ, potentially Harmes and Dunstan has retired. Yes, they're depth mids, but they're gone and we're not too many injuries away from a thin midfield. I'd certainly like a more balanced midfield and hope our drafting addresses both balance and depth - McKercher or Duursma please ✅
  24. Oh FFS what a crock. Media whipping anything about Melbourne into a frenzy of codswallop
  25. Yes, Rory Lobb is on a 3-year deal (no idea why). He would not be in contract negotiations anytime soon.
