This makes sense but I was at the game and May could barely walk - it looks to me like a back injury. My guess is that's why they put him on Riccardi. Gawn was the other player who clearly played under duress and struggled to get around.

I had a quick look at their trade history and there's nothing outlandish and they all seem ok to reasonable trades: Paid a F2 for Alir (Syd) Received Pick 12 and a F3 for Pick 16 and Peter Ladhams (Syd) Paid basically R2 plus late picks for Sweet (Dogs) & P50 (wouldn't have done that one personally but each to their own) F2 tied to Freo for Soldo (Toiges).

We have to remember: a) slim pickings on offer for rucks b) Melb is not a desirable location for rucks with the offer being to hang around in the VFL as Max's back-up. Yep, I saw the interview about him being determined to enjoy his footy in 2024. It sounded like he didn't think his body was capable of another season but you never know.

Agree and have seen both play well and both do dumb things - Ladhams with getting suspended and Keane's sporadic backline howlers. I'm sure Keane would be sorted by May and Lever and Ladhams would be our second in line at this point.
