Not directed at you Daisy - more interested in the list slicing if Footy Nut's on the money, not the other nut -
Are we officially tanking now?

Bugger - this WAS a really interesting thread -
Jetta had the same number of games as Strauss before the call-up.
-
Bennell is on the LTI list for starters
-
Rotten luck for the pickle.

More useful to have an out of contract list and start with that. The remaining contracted players can then be looked at as potential trade bait with a view to between 0 and 2 players being traded. Then there's the rookies - have to delist and/or upgrade at least 2 as the rookie list is being cut this year. It's an excruciating snore fest to see endless demands to delist contracted player x, y or z.

Who are GWS going to poach at seasons end?
Roger Mellie replied to PaulRB's topic in Melbourne Demons
If GWS cant buy the guns in the age group they want, I could see them going again with a handful of semi-retirees. There are a few contemplating retirement - forced or otherwise (eg. Green, Corey, Gilbee etc). Add assistant-coach to the title and they might jag a few 1 year gap fillers. There's no point paying millions for a Goddard if he wont be around when/if GWS start making finals. -
Just watched Misson on DEETV and to update: - Michael Pickle Evans will play for Casey this week (2nds most likely) - great news! - Sheahan wont play - Lawrence is 2 weeks away with a calf injury - TMac, Jamar and Seller to all push for selection (TMac needs OK from the doc) - Mitch Clark is bored

I'm not saying I'd be shattered either, but I've never questioned his talent and speed. His ball use yesterday was top notch. Very constructive work with the footy, but not enough of it and a lot of tail chasing. I think there will be others back to Casey before him. If I toss a player on the scrap heap (in my own mind), I like to ponder if he could get a gig at any other club and why before doing so. Clearly too much time on my hands, but with Bennell and say Morton, either we cant push the right buttons or there aren't any.

I get where you're coming from and would add Petterd, MacDonald and Bartram (inj) to the list - the latter two, good honest triers with a bit of dash. I'd like to see how Jetta works in the back pocket and Evans in the middle (now with a bit more size on him). Jetta's never done a pre-season and while I'm not wildly excited it would be good to see both get games before the end of the year. The club should delist at least 6-8 so they have a fair list to choose from.

Did Jetta play in the back line, does he look at home there?
-
I don't know why you're limiting it to Collingwood. I reckon Bate would still get a run at the kennel as they are still shyte in the forward line. Bennell would probably excel at WCE or Sydney - I still wow at his skills when the planets line up and he gets a touch.

Despite the heavier loss last week, I thought our ball movement was greatly improved - fluid even. Today we were rubbish. Here we are arguing the merits of Spud A, B & C - hell we've got a sack full
-
I wouldn't mind a look at Nick Suban. Had a great year 2 or 3 years ago before breaking his leg. Not quite sure what's going on but now he's a fringe player - from Victoria so worth a look if he's not on Ross Lyon's radar
-
Yuck - I cant see Port going for that but I love a good rumour
-
I assumed they'd easily be top 8 for spending at the very least. It is ordinary for a new club and manifests their unhealthy (for GC) dependence on the AFL for cash.
-
Cheers - must have missed it through my tears of pity for GC
-
Emergencies are interesting: Petterd, Strauss & Cook
-
In J Gysberts We need to get games into this kid. He's got 4(?) games under his belt. Get him in there and part of that midfield. Oh yeah and in Jones etc
-
I don't get any link between the GC facilities and Josh Caddy being on the move
-
I think it was Scarlett - I heard it too. It's a decent enough endorsement for me. While Lingy isn't guaranteed to be a gun coach just because of his playing credentials, you'd be knocking the door down for an interview. The other issue is he's building himself a bit of a business empire - more than enough to keep him occupied.

a wave from Mark Harvey too
