  1. You don't stop when you're on a roll - Frawley = shadow of former self, Dunn = shirk it, Jamar = horizontal, Sellar = VFL
  2. I was surprised when Blease donned the red vest - I thought Watts owned it.
  3. 1) Not that it made any difference to the score, but that was one of the worst cases of umpiring to the crowd I've clapped eyes on. 2) Play in front = get footy x 100 3) Jack Fitzpatrick is quicker than 3/4 of the team and kicks like them too 4) Neeld is clearly all about effort and attitude. I'd like skills and ability to be on the radar too
  4. I have only seen him play once (which is not enough)...but jeez he looked soft
  5. I thought he was a forward/mid coming of a knee reco?
  6. Just in case we missed something in the last 8?
  7. Would prefer kippers over roll-mop herring?
  8. Was I? I'm pretty sure I was singing the praises of Brad Scott and their recruiting.....and to extrapolate... the 3 years it's taken for them to put it together to make the finals
  9. ADC - you are wrong on every count. This has been a 3 year process and then some. The kangas have been putting together a very strong list - painstakingly and are now reaping the rewards. I can tell you we wouldn't be complaining about having Bastinac, Atley, Ziebell or Kelvin on our list. IMO Brad Scott is the better coach of the twins - hasn't had the dream run and instant list that Chris has had. The currant Roos fortunes have had eff all to do with Eugene
  10. Richmond interested in Rivers
  11. I'm a bit of a fan - has some serious footy smarts, quite a few tricks and is hard at the footy. He'll not think twice about tackling Ben McKevoy or Ko-shyte-ski with good effect. He kicks the ball cleverly but not too far at all - 40m would be his max. He's quick thinking but not quick over the ground IMO He's never done a preseason, so I'd like to see if one could get him more into the game.
  12. A - Grade Clark B + Jones Watts Frawley (can move up) B- Garland, Grimes, Howe, McDonald C Blease Trengove Sylvia (with scope to climb) Jordie Nicho Rivers Talented but injured Jurrah Bennell, Morton (Not questioning the talent of any of these 3 just everything else) Not talented but injured Bartram ordinary footballers Dunn, MacDonald, Magner, Sellar, Petterd, Bate, Spencer, Fitz, Couch Bail Morton Bail Martin ageing Davey, Green, Moloney (speed of game not on his side) Starting Out Cook, Davis, Fitzpatrick, Gawn, Gysberts, Spencer, Strauss, Taggert, Tynan, Evans, Sheahan, Williams Trade Bait (only because contracted) Morton Davey Fitz Gysberts Sylvia Possible Delistings Bennell Bartram Petterd Bate Dunn Spencer Jetta Moloney Sellar Bail Strauss (Rookies excluded) Rookie Deal Elevate - Nicho Evans (maybe) Another year - Sheahan Williams
  13. If you were gifted Peg Leg Limpatelli as an opponent, you'd think you'd run off him all day and then some
  14. More like an indication that McKenzie was a late withdrawal
  15. Watts gets the scrutiny because he's in Victoria. David Swallow, now Tom Scully and Jonathan Patton. Out of sight, out of mind
  16. Did Josh Tynan play?
  17. Until very recently, Williams has looked completely lost at VFL level. He's just starting to find his feet there and is miles off a senior gig.
  18. Ha nice one - it just goes to show that ordinary players can achieve the ultimate. We have more than our fair share of them - still
  19. The icing on the cake - Jurrah out for another 2 weeks after indications he would play for Casey this week
  20. Top effort from Nicho to play on with a fractured jaw
  21. Jetta out - suspended for a week by the MRP
  22. Might be clutching at straws here, but for those that saw last year's preseason (2011 that is). Trengove started preseason very chunky in the legs. He was slow at running at pretty sluggish in play simulations etc. After a number of weeks he slimmed down in the legs and was back to normal. I put it down to too much training in the offseason, or the wrong type of training for his body/legs. Maybe it's the same again now - he's definitely got the tree trunk legs again. Do any preseason regulars recall this?
