2 things the AFL have made plain: - Compensation picks will be lower than a player's perceived worth. Clubs have known this all along - Compensation picks reflect the net loss to club (not individual player loss). Eg. Saints lose Goddard but gain Monfries (for the sake of argument). Their compensation would be lessened because Monfries is added to the team giving them something like a 2nd round pick (that's a guess)

Just putting it out there.... Does that mean MFC aren't into - Ben Jacobs, K Stevens, Caddy, Toy or Giles? What's the view/word/vibe on the Viney situation? Pick 3 or 26ish?
