I don't get how he wins awards, he is plainly wrong as often as he is right! he is just using his standing to push a case to remove an idea that doesn't suit his personal wishes, i am looking forward to monday as i believe we will be granted the Priority pick we NEED maybe not deserve and [censored] off Barrett and his army of knobs bigtime

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DOM TYSON
Ted Lasso replied to angrydee's topic in Melbourne Demons
I played footy with Anthony as a Junior mate and he is absolutely worth picking up, good size, hits the ball as hard as anyone i have seen and is deceivingly quick, would be straight into our best 22 in my opinion and would only cost a third round pick potentially, he is far too good to be rotting in the reserves anywhere -
He's captain of the Northern Blues, i think he's alright but personally i have watched him play a few times and he reminds me a little bit of a few boys on our list, he would dominate at VFL level but struggle at AFL level, would be surprised if we draft him, if GWS gave us Adams and pick 10 i'd be pretty happy.

I would love to see Jesse Hogan play bursts in the middle, huge and aggressive, he can run as well as any big man i've seen in a long time, could be abit like how jonothan brown and Pav play bursts in the middle with good effect.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

I still have Essendon supporting friends who deny their team are drug cheats, guess this will ruin their day hahaha -
Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Ted Lasso replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
For those with more knowledge than i, what sort of punishment comes with an infraction notice and would this apply to every player who took the substance so everyone but Goddard and Zaharakis in theory? -
At this stage i'd play Dawes, his leadership is going to make it very VERY hard for fitz, but if he keeps improving, the fact that he can play ruck also and he is more mobile, put's him in with a chance, of our three big men, i'd say Dawes is the least safe, which is amazing considering Clark has hardly played in 2 years and Hogan hasn't played a game of AFL yet besides NAB cup.

Who would you prefer? Martin, Swallow, Adams, Aish or someone else?

Mate i can promise you they would be making phone calls left right and center, Roosy will know who he wants and who is realistic. especially if we get a Priority pick, we will make alot of friends if that's the case. -
all we can do is keep making plays at these players, i'm sure every club in the AFL gets turned down by more players than they get.

I'd be surprised if he is up for trade to be honest, it's abit like Ryan Griffen at the dogs, these coaches know they need experience there during the rebuild. if he is, and they don't want too much i'd look at him.

Spoke to a mate who has become pretty good friends with jesse and while she doesn't know anything about the footy side of things it bought a pretty big smile to my face to hear he is absolutely loving Melbourne so far!

I actually think alot of prendo's decisions were based on keeping the big names happy, Blease is Scullys best mate, Tappy is Trenners i always wonder if they were selected perhaps early because of that alone.
-
I disagree respectfully mate, i think Fitzpatrick has very much got himself into a position to challenge Dawes for his spot in the team, Dawes leadership imo is the only real bonus he has over Fitz I agree on Clark if he is fit he is in regardless of anything else.
-
It really is amazing that someone didn't slap Mark Neeld when some of these list decisions were being made last year, a 3 year deal for Pederson gets me every time i think about it, North Melbourne would have been pissing themselves laughing.
-
If he is behaving himself i'd be open to asking him to train and a potential spot on the rookie list, we all know how good his best football is.
-
I would say Garland is our most complete defender, Chip is the best we have at shutting down a power forward but garlo can shut down talls, smalls, mediums, can play forward, could play midfield in bursts imo and is fantastic at counter attacking
-
That's very Paul Roos in my opinion, get better performances out of a couple of solid mids i'm still very much for offering it to GWS for Adams and pick 10 i am certain that's as good a trade offer as they will get for him, and we could offer Adams a good long term contract and the ability to play under Roos

I fully understand the value of the best available argument, it's something we have been seriously lacking in recent year, but i think in this case drafting on needs should become a serious consideration, this kid will in my opinion be as good as his brother, watched him play a few times and even his bad games are solid, he doesn't take a backwards step and is able to play well in the middle. i think around the 30-35 mark is about right for him at this stage so either we trade to get a pick at that mark or we are going to have to stretch, i do feel pick 20 is going to be for a top line player who slips abit lower than expected, maybe a dunstan, sheed, crouch or freeman might slip that far. but if we lose Sylvia the compo might be around the right mark?
-
Sorry guys, this idea was based on two VFL games where he looked a class above in my opinion, also being in the bests a few times. didn't realise he had so many question marks over him, it's amazing North wanted him in the first place.
-
On the AFL website regarding Jordan Gysberts it says "It is understood Gysberts and Kennedy will be delisted if they don't find new homes in October's trade period" Would we look at getting him back as a delisted free agent?

Just looked at the Author and cringed haha, i suppose most people would have known this was coming though.

I hope we put in a phone call to this guy.

On one of those facebook page things ( i know they're not reliable in any way ) it says the hawks have taken their offer off the table for Buddy and are thinking of a future without him, i personally don't believe this for a second considering it's like 2 nights out from a prelim final, but still it would seem that GWS might land their man if there is any truth to that rumour.

Of all the things i love watching about the way Aish plays footy, he reminds me a little of Travis Jonstone and that concerns me abit. i'd prefer to pull the trigger early on Crouch or Freeman, i think Freeman is this years Dangerfield and Crouch would be ready to go round 1 2014, attacks the ball like jack viney, is a contested ball clearance machine with decent pace and skills, reminds me alot of Sam Mitchell

Swallows year in the VFL was something special, i feel his best form would trump the best of anyone else on the list and his worse would still trump most of our list.
