For me Kellys real weapon is his endurance running, a little bit like Tom Scully, but that endurance won't be a factor at AFL level, Aish is classy, skilful and makes things happen but he is a little slight and might take a couple of years to get his body bulked up and stuff.

Kids going to be a superstar, I have absolutely no doubt about that, if he wants more opportunity and to be closer to his brother pick 2 would be on it's way to the gold coast imo.

Jimmy Toumpas could very well be our best mid in three years time, the kid was rated as pick 2 by most recruiters and some even had him pick 1 at various stages, the pace will return when he gets over his hip troubles, if you watch footage of him in the SANFL he has a good yard of pace, and is very damaging against Men

Scharenberg is a flanker who could play midfield ( Roos said he wants genuine midfielders, no more flankers ) Kelly is just as light as Aish then you look at guys like Freeman, Crouch and Sheed who might all slip out of the top 10 or even top 15, so it's really hard to suggest who we should take if not Aish personally i'd take Matt Crouch because he attacks the ball like Jack Viney, is built like his brother and is a contested ball clearance machine and ball magnet, everything we need, having said that if we can set up some sort of trade with GWS that see's us getting Taylor Adams and pick 10 for pick 2 and using pick 10 on Crouch I would be absolutely thrilled, that gets us two very hard nuts around the ball.

If we're looking at inside mids i'd still personally rate Zak Jones ahead of Dunstan, if we lose Sylvia the compo may mean we get both which would be nice.

I think GWS Should come into consideration as well, they're the only team below us, but they have as much young talent or more than any AFL list has ever seen, they're going to be a gun side unless something goes awfully pear shaped, to give them yet another key forward that they in all honesty don't need is abit strange Pick 1 gets us back up and makes everyone more money as soon as next year, but for GWS it probably doesn't make any difference at all to where they're going. Stkilda imo will be in a worse position than we were/ are in a couple of years, and because they aren't named Melbourne and have the same marketing potential as us I wouldn't be surprised if we see another situation where the AFL is looking at moving a Club or Merging clubs.

if they aren't going to give us pick 1 give us pick 9 and 19, mid 1st round and start of second round. pick 9 being the pick Essendon would have had anyway, doesn't have any bearing on any bottom 8 sides. give us the condition we have to trade pick 9 and if the AFL has any balls send a clear message to the other clubs that this has nothing to do with them, at some point they might want/need similar help.
