Not sure what his Value would be? 3rd round pick??
-
If we don't qualify based on our record, noone does and the rule should be scrapped.
-
It drives me crazy, he squeels this crap at anyone who will listen, this is the fourth article i have read about exactly this in a month he forgets PJ is in alot of ways an independent CEO, he isn't Melbourne through and through in the way Stynsey was, if he thinks we need a PP, it's because he is at ground zero every day and knows we do for 100 good reasons not just we want an extra pick.

2014 Melbourne Skipper...who should it be??
Ted Lasso replied to Deemolition's topic in Melbourne Demons
If Dawes and Chippa were able to stay fit more of the time they'd be right in the mix for mine, but because they can't a stand alone captain of Grimes, Jones or Garland sounds good, Trengove needs/deserves the right to develop like any young player. -
http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-09-10/anger-threatens-to-boil-over Seriously? I haven't seen much of anything that suggests there is anything to this at all, seems as though he is making things up to try and pour cold water on the idea. most seem unimpressed about the financial assistance, but 34 wins in 7 years, a new coach, president, Ceo, board completely flipped upside down, mostly new players, might be time for Barrett to pull his head out of his ass. Discuss.

Colin Sylvia is yet to decide if he will remain at Melbourne
Ted Lasso replied to Romey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Sylvia is a mature, hard bodied Midfielder, Roos wants him there, if he leaves it will hurt, we need the experience, Roos might get him to another level as a player and i thought this was his best season for us as it is. fingers crossed for good news here. -
Well done Craigy! reckon he might get the gig at the Lions anyway!
-
I'd probably prefer Aish to Swallow to be honest, he has class but Aish looks an absolute jet.
-
We can match offers for chip next year so if we improve I am confident he won't be going anywhere
-
I think someone will want him enough to trade personally
-
Played footy with him, absolute jet and has a good yard of pace
-
Him and viney as on ballers together is almost mouth watering
-
we definately need a quality example for our young mids to follow and some real support for jones, viney and Sylvia, offer Thompson a 3 year deal and see what he says?
-
We would be stupid not to make a phone call, who cares what the chances are we should be exploring any possible options to make the most informed decision, especially in this case when a quality player is involved, if he is interested in coming home i'm sure our recruiting team will work as hard as possible to work out the best possible deal for both parties.
-
All very possible imo, Sheil would be the toughest to get, Adams i'd say we're a fair chance with Roosy on board, Adams and Gaff would be nice, would compliment each other very well, reckon pick 10 would be enough to get Gaff?

If we gain a priority pick what do we do!!!
Ted Lasso replied to Dee1987's topic in Melbourne Demons
The day of the Brownlow they meet to work it out. -
I reckon we should target: Teir 1, one player from Dale Thomas Scott Thompson Brad Sewell Luke Shuey Rory Sloane Scott Selwood Taylor Adams teir 2- at least 2 of Patrick Karnezis Anthony Miles Levi Greenwood Ben Sinclair Viv Michie

How do you justify not giving a team a PP when they have won 34 games in 7 years, and beaten 1 top 8 team in 7 years, that's pretty scary. -
Watch our members, sponsors and overall attractiveness as a club go BOOM under Roos and you will change your mind, would be willing to bet we get 40k members in 2014, i for one am upgrading my membership for next year because of it
-
Chris Judd really turned back the clock today, well done Carlton!
-
Bernie Vince and David Mackey was one mentioned in the paper?
-
Playing alongside your best mate in your home state under Paul Roos would be tempting for anyone i reckon, especially if we get up and going abit
-
Puzzling is abit harsh, i think there were 18 recruiters that rated Toumpas as a top 3 pick, Wines was a top 10 pick, was he the right pick for the mfc? possibly not, Wines and Viney would have set up the engine room for the next decade, but we have Toumpas and he has shown good signs that he will be a quality player for us, so i'm not too unhappy it's not impossible that at some point we might lure Wines back anyway.
