well well wasn't that exciting football

My new mantra..... Kick Straight and Prosper !

Found a post wondering if Ken Hinkley ever reviewed the 2021 Prelim loss. Not sure if that's a good or a bad omen.

speaking for your membership and sponsors not to mention post premiership merchandising I'm not sure Mr Pert would agree

Darcy Moore just signed a 6 year deal at Collingwood. Age 26 He has just come off a 2 year deal at around $850k. We paid Lever around $800k when he first came over as a 3rd/4th year player so you would have to think that the amount for a 2 year deal for Luke has to be around $800k per year. If that's correct weight it's not hard to see another club mentioning the magical $1M

3 interstate games out of the first 5. What did we do wrong
-
Have followed the Big Footy Port Adelaide board on and off for a few years. The Port followers are a lot like ourselves except while we used to bemoan being in the bottom four they bemoan finals performance
-
GCS nearly knocked us off. Carlton aren't a certainty by any means. Like LH I think Hawks v Saints is close to 50/50. From an MFC viewpoint a Brisbane win over Geelong is the conservative approach but hell I like being atop the ladder so Geelong to win !!

On BBB I suppose we might know a little more as to why he's out if he plays VFL on Saturday night. Big game tonight... Should be perfect conditions

Good point LH. A lot of the electricity for bitcoin mining is stolen or the servers are located in countries where electricity is cheap.

NFT's have two elements Digitally they are verified (think incredibly long serial number). That's the blockchain like Bitcoin etc Secondly because the item whatever it is is verified as one of one or one of a few it is therefore rare. Anything could be the subject of the token which is what makes the thing sound stupid. It merely has to be something that a group of people want to possess And being non fungible it doesn't exist https://www.creativebloq.com/features/what-are-nfts

Brown possibly tested positive during the week. Was always a risk. Smith must have run over a black cat or similar in his day. He has no luck Interesting named positions for Harmes, Bowey and Brayshaw

The concept could be one or more of each bang with one bang being rare thus increasing the desire to complete the set. Manipulation of the gullible masses but ........

I suspect you are in the present majority but increasingly the digital world and its uses surprise me. NFT's are certainly newsworthy these days

Apparently the big ticket item coming out of Buddy's 100th goal is an NFT. When the footage is already in the public domain I'm not sure how NFT's and live sport work together but apparently they do. (Seems they are like the old swap cards) Top Shot is an NFT marketplace where basketball fans can buy, sell, and trade NBA moments. So far, the most expensive collectible traded is LeBron James dunking against the Houston Rockets, which was sold for over $387,000. Would you pay for a bang bang bang NFT https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/next-afl-player-pay-deal-must-consider-revenue-drop-mclachlan-20220406-p5ab6g.html

Night game at Williamstown for Petty this Saturday. May not be a great test if windy. The next game is Coburg at Casey if he's forced to play 2 games. Tomlinson and Smith will be on edge even more so than this week. Is JJ safe should Brayshaw move back to the wing. Hibberd being out for another two weeks plus at least one game at Casey limits the flexibility down back.

I'd be interested in what he thinks are the key differences in playing forward now from when he played. What are today's non negotiables compared to those of twenty years ago. Also 2000 saw the first full game of flooding when the Bulldogs dealt out Essendon's only loss for the year. Over the 2000/2001 was the flood and two way running a big thing in pre season training or were we slow to adopt. thanks
-
Grrrrrrrrr next weeks game against Williamstown is a night match. One of my favourite venues on a windless afternoon And we play Coburg at Casey the following week and not at the delightful Coburg oval. Hopefully we play at the temple of the Burra Burger
-
Strongly expect this to be the tactic most adopted against us. The way to beat it is simple. Kick goals and then the other side has to take risks playing catch up. Harder than it sounds but our goalkicking allowed Essendon and GCS to stay in the game
-
He's on his last year of a circa $700k contract. Not quite peanuts
-
well at least we are at the right end of the ladder for the mass of early draft picks that will be heading across Bass Strait. Can see a few clubs wary of losing marquee players anxious to top up their bank balances. Would be interested to see what would have happened draft wise over the last five years had they been in existence and given preferential access to Tasmanian draftees. Hopefully the Government gives them a "free clean"stadium like Geelong has or I can't see them ever breaking even. The splitting of home games between Launceston and Hobart while understandable politically will never work longer term. And of course which Melbourne teams will be sent South after the eight odd interstate teams are slotted to play down there

just rock up. If a member entrance is free Yes...on the AFL website/app

T Mac plays a different game structurally to that which was played by Weid last night. It is actually more like that which SW has been playing in the VFL. Assuming BBB plays I think Weid will be selected in the T Mac role. The Adelaide weather next week is looking good with a medium breeze and around 22 at opening bounce

the issues around BBB are whether he contracts the virus from his close contact. If so the 6/7 day clock starts from that day. There is nothing to stop him relocating to a private place where training is easier ( home gym and running area)provided he can drive himself there.A nearby rural property would be ideal Would like to think that the club has thought this all through well in advance and has various contingency plans and options for both single and partnered players
