Brings T Mac back into contention but I'm starting to warm a little for Melksham

Assuming the MCG is awash on Saturday.... Dunstan for Sparrow Bedford (or possibly Chandler) for Pickett Mitch Brown for Jackson Weid to play 25% in the ruck Medi Sub = Smith PS: Plus of course Viney and Lever in
-
Strong chance of being very wet on Saturday. Perhaps a mobile medium or a Chandler gets a chance and Weid is the relieving ruck Mitch Brown anyone??

Hibberd ... available great to hear. Casey will be very strong this week against the Box Hill Hawks with T Mac, Tomlinson,Bedford, Dunstan and Hibberd 2:05pm Sunday.... I believe at Box Hill... a lovely place to watch a game and easy parking within a five minute walk

Collingwood were lucky with their accuracy. Sure you make your own luck but anything over 75% accuracy is luck. They operated at 84% accuracy. A score of 13 goals 5 points is more towards the outer mean. On that score they win by one point. We operated at around 30% accuracy on the weekend

I recall they had a chat with the likes of Amazon but they went nowhere. Personally I don't think they'll get far as the viewer market is just too small for the mega players. The competition will come from Stan and Optus

Australia is one of the few countries in the world to have anti siphoning rules but they are a bit of a dog's breakfast and are up for review in April 2023. The glaring loophole is that while the rules manage competition between cable (Foxtel) and FTA, streaming services being digital are outside the rules. Also cricket showed that if an industry asks the Govt will change the rules... ODI's involving the national team were on the list but are now wholly behind a paywall.

What They Are Saying at Glenferrie Oval
Diamond_Jim replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
A few matches next week between teams in the present top 8. A great opportunity to put a gap between us and several teams. Hawks seem to run hot and cold. -
Had to look him up. 12 goals from 9 games over two years. His lucky day... good on him

Interesting comparing Richo's comments on Ch 7 to Nathan Buckley's on Fox. Richo kept saying that Tigers needed to go fast whereas Buckley said they needed to go slow and send the ball into a four man contest where the ground ball players of Richmond could operate. Going fast just allowed the Melbourne defence to zone off and rebound Both styles though allow a flooding of our forward line to a reasonable extent which means we need to take our marks (as we did last night) and convert

Mihocek is a valuable player for the Pies. Always seems to be in the right spot and is a reliable kick. 29 years of age so you would think he only has another 2-3 years at best. Collingwood's forward stocks aren't that great
-
No... he is an intercept marker and provides little in the way of fast rebound. He's just a flashier less efficient version of Lever. Mind you Lever's rebound kicking is not fantastic but he always seems to get his loopy kicks to a team mate

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs

Has anyone found a video of the two Geelong games (Round 23 and PF) with a KROC commentary. That would round out my collection so well. The Perth MMM commentary is sublime -
TMacs time at Casey will do him no harm. He dominated yesterday. The level of competition is an issue but that can't be fixed. Box Hill next week should be a good test for him though looking at the ladder they're not flying. Allowing for the competition level I think TMac's game at Casey just shaded Weid's game but let's see what the next 2 weeks bring

In the warmth of the morning it was a good win last night. Even though we stuffed up the goal kicking we aced the forward 50 entries over 3 at least of the 4 quarters. Strong signs

Hoping for an Essendon win today. Deflates the Collingwood bubble and gives one the joy of seeing Essendon followers get false hope. Mixed over Hawks v Sydney but marginally desiring a Hawthorn win. Draw would be nice

Injuries and covid aside it's an easy decision this week. Rain predicted for Friday and Saturday
-
Painful but we'll be better for the win. I'll accept tonight as an aberration.

Not a great display for prime time but I suppose all the opposition supporters are saying... How good are they if they kick straight

you would hope the law of averages would kick in eventually and we would kick a few
