  1. 5 goals to nil in a low scoring game what can one say
  2. Somehow I don't think we'll have to worry about a changes thread tonight
  3. May not even have to wait for the third quarter to be run over This has been coming for weeks What an end to a promising season
  4. well I didn't think we'd capitulate that quickly. 3 goals in about 10 minutes of play
  5. This game should be over but more worrying is the lack of any finals flair We literally are limping towards the finish line
  6. this is a struggle
  7. Hardly a touch to our recognised forwards... Second quarter avalanche please
  8. Not seeing much scoreboard action but we seem to be on top at present PS timed that well !!
  9. weather tonight is positively balmy by comparison to the forecast for next Friday
  10. It does (called wealth tax) The Royal Estate is exempt Mind you the UK has so many tax rorts you would need to be very lax to pay big tax unless you're the mug middle class
  11. I thought Laurie was suggested by some as being in line for promotion. Wonder why he's out. Hope young Woey can be right for the GF Weideman as principal ruck going up against Brisbane's number 3 ruck
  12. Daniher out means they will play fast corridor football instead of their slow high marking game. What game style do we fail against most often?
  13. Been there a few times... there's room to expand.. more than the Tigers have at Punt Road Few options really
  14. The conservative and probably correct decision. Cannot help but think that with all the walking wounded our season is sputtering to its end but let's hope not
  15. No one is going to allow us to enclose open space to establish a training ground. Port Melbourne Oval if it can be acquired is one possibility. The other area is down around where the now defunct Big Wheel is located
  16. Post 2018 MFC as I understand it sold its entire quota of GFG tickets and like many teams now has a waiting list for GFG. Not sure if this changed during covid. If that's true not much hope for priority 2 is my guess. IIRC in 2018 it was around 50% chance but at that time the number of GFG memberships we had sold were a lot less
  17. I think it was 10 that had a 24 hour Sports channel years ago. It was quite good but 10 went broke and got bought out by CBS. Not sure that Ch 7 have unlimited replay rights. These days people want to have historical shows on demand so it would be more like Kayo
  18. True but they're hard to find Get him as a break glass in case Max goes down but I'd prefer to see us push Weid into this position or just play one ruck with back up from JVR etc
  19. Interesting The standard player contract has always had rules about use of player images etc so you would think it has been updated over the years.
  20. As many have mentioned it's interesting that the media auction was all about money and to a lesser extent coverage. There was nothing about broadcast quality and growing the audience. A little cute of the AFL to insist that these matters are solely up to broadcasters. They also failed to address the role of platforms such as youtube and Instagram. A European soccer player hit 100M subscribers this week. It's very big money
  21. Other than JVR from about Round 14 and Chandler there's few if any you can describe in the VFL team as unlucky in selection. The fact is that the VFL team is a collection of decent players made better by three or four Casey veterans along with some MFC veterans, Mitch Brown etc Bedford had a few chances and didn't take them at AFL level
  22. The $15 kayo will be the first thing to go. It was a discount for old Telstra customers. Get ready for closer to $30
  23. A sort of Vale of Tears with several maze like exits leading to more tears until through a covid coloured haze you find the holy grail in the mythical city of Perth. I like it !!!
