Farewell Brodie Grundy
well I think you've answered the question All the Grundy related deals will be embargoed so they can have their TV event

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Funny because there is a news feed called Mint(Live Mint from India) ... very busy during the time of the pandemic and vaccine production
-
Farewell Luke Jackson
The only minor positive I can draw from this debacle is that the MFC was spared the difficulty of matching the mega salary offer made by Freo. Will it prove a wise decision by Freo .. who knows. History tells us that mega offers made to younger players fail as often as they succeed

AFLW: Rd 07 vs Western Bulldogs
O Doggies......how did you not goal Loved the big smile on the Bulldogs player when she pulled down the packmark A decent crowd by the look of things

AFLW: Rd 07 vs Western Bulldogs
Motoring along now Some impressive corridor play

AFLW: Rd 07 vs Western Bulldogs
Good to see that the 26 point zone of indecision has not affected the women's team. Percentage is all important in this competition... need to score a few more and not let them goal

Jack Bowes Salary Dump
What is the rationale for Geelong trading around pick 60 to GCS? Is it part of the required trade process for them to give something in exchange. Thanks

Adam Tomlinson on the move?
Ellison is interesting Has now been in the VFL system for four years. Badly impacted by the covid closures of 2020 and 2021. Certainly a very consistent performer at VFL level in 2022. Overlooked in the mid season draft

2022 Player Reviews: #38 Mitch Brown
Has an amazing ability at VFL level to find space in the forward line to take a relatively easy mark (think Gunston). Unfortunately he couldn't bring that skill to AFL level
-
Josh Bruce
Tomlinson for Bruce seems like a no brainer. Will it work for either or both clubs... who knows... but Dogs need a better defence and we need a better forward line
-
JVR, Laurie, Howes, AMW, Turner, Chandler
This is the issue Despite the wins there were rarely if ever days where a player took the game apart. The system of boundary line play does not lend itself to eye catching runs. If we replace the practice game with the "Magic Round" it will be just that little harder to see what some players might add at senior level. VFL to commence at round 3 is the norm

Farewell Luke Jackson
Strangely enough we could easily have taken Langdon through the PSD but we gave 22, our 2020 second rounder and 79. Reasonable for an 11 -15 ranked player PS: They gave us 26 so it was cheap in retrospect Wonder who they took with our 2020 second rounder (it would have been around 26 I suspect)
-
Josh Bruce
A Tomlinson/Bruce swap makes sense for both clubs as they each play in an area where the recipient is deficient. Both players had a strong 2021 before bad injuries and neither could recapture that form in 2022. We'd be club number 4 for Bruce

Josh Bruce
Is he the guy with the mullet

Farewell Luke Jackson
So 13, future 13(?)and future 40(?) for Jackson What a disaster

Farewell Luke Jackson
Were the Eagles ever in it. If they can't better pick 13 and a future first I doubt they were ever serious

Extra "MAGIC" Round in 2023?
regular season home game ... less than 10k crowds 21k for a PF.... what a disaster
-
Jack Bowes Salary Dump
Suspect you're right but as you say it would need to be 4x $550k minimum which puts the year 3 and 4 at only $250k pa. Bowes is selling himself short perhaps ..maybe there's an upward kicker for success
-
Farewell Brodie Grundy
Nothing like an opening round against the team that seemingly beats us every time
-
Jack Bowes Salary Dump
Geelong are spreading the 2 x $850k over 4 years apparently Why would Bowes agree...play 2 years at $850k and back yourself to command a minimum of say$400k for another 2 years and he's $800k in front

Extra "MAGIC" Round in 2023?
How many would bother travelling for this. Airfares and accommodation would be at a premium. Can't be Easter because the Giants ground is utilised for the Easter Show. Giants have never had a crowd at their home game over 10k. Just seems to me like an un needed TV event that NSW will pay big money for to the AFL

Farewell Luke Jackson
For those thinking he might go to North for a year..ask a few questions 1. Where does North suddenly find around $1M of free salary cap in 2023? 2. Assuming you can shuffle around other players would you bother 3. North is rebuilding... why spend $1M on a player who is only going to be there for one year (especially one who wants to be back in WA)?

Adam Tomlinson on the move?
