I imagine Peter Jackson would go rubbish even in a Richmond seconds team, lucky for us he has other strengths in footy admin. Why am I even reading this thread?

I hate North Melbourne.

KICKING, HANDBALLING AND CATCHING

Dicks. -
Nice to share my everyday hate for North.

The Dees didn't make me an alcoholic, but I don't think I could've kept supporting them without it. I love this footy team. And scotch. Scotchy scotch.
-
Think it was more about us than them. We could've beaten them but for our horrendous errors. The demons of old (last year) rocked up this arvo and it was frustrating to watch. So much good work unravelled through poor, wasteful disposal. We looked really flat today. Really flat. Positives for mine: Bernie was great and I was happy with Frawley and Matt Jones. Lots of work to be done this week.

Before the Collingwood game last week, they were playing like a bottom 8 side. As DemonOX says, next week will be the real test.
-
That is excellent.
-
Just merge them with Fitzroy.
-
And they're all playing rubbish this year.

Didn't realise until a recent interview that Tyson had another two years on his contract and was happy to stay around when we traded for him, which I guess means we targeted him specifically and didn't just ask GWS who do you have that wants to come home? It's impressive recruiting. I agree with the posters who don't want to put O'Rourke or Plowman in the same basket as Tyson because they were probably taken a little high. Plowman was rated a top 20 talent pre-draft. But then, I was unimpressed with the Tyson deal at the start of the year so what do I know?

So if we become 2013 premiers, do we have to re-hire Neeld?

Peter Jackson must be convinced to stay on.

He was great for Essendon and then things went wrong later in his venture as CEO. I think he's had enough time out of the game to learn from what went wrong back then and think he'll be a better long term CEO because of it. Would love for him to stay around for 8-10 years. -
Players to target at the end of the year

Was on the latest AFL Grill video. Only one who didn't rate Roos in the media, even above BT or Baz Zempilas. Whatever that means. -
We wouldn't have Roos if that forward line worked out. Same as if we had picked Rockliff, Fyfe or Sloane. If you're happy we have Roos and happy with the direction we're heading in then it's not worth rewriting history because we're in a pretty good place at the moment.

The video reads to me like a joke that fell flat. I've watched a few of his travel videos and they're a bit out there, but the tongue in cheek didn't come across in the intro because everyone just remembers him as a hardnut.

No interest in Shiel unless he desperately wants to come play for us, have seen very little worth chasing him for yet and he'd be going for pick 1-5. Would prefer to trade in Devon Smith for pick 15-30 or Bugg for 20+.

First game I ever bought.

Good ol' player X enjoying the win. Solid effort, Herald Sun.

I know I shouldn't pay attention to it, but I have no idea how Jonesy continues to fall down the rankings on that AFL Player Ratings site. He's sitting at 119 now and dropping. Howey'll be our highest ranked player soon.

Gerard Whateley acknowledges our turnaround in HS

Feel like he's gone a week early on this one. I like reading it and we're obviously much improved, but we're still 17th and we still have to show up against the tiges yet. Just realised how happy I am that we're not relying on Sylvia to have one of his big games against the tigers. -
Bernie - 10th in comp. for metres gained

http://www.afl.com.au/video/2014-05-16/classy-pickup-and-finish-from-daniher This 'classy' pick-up and finish from Daniher is the perfect example of how messed up the advantage rule is at the moment. Ump blew his whistle, everyone stopped, which allowed Daniher to run through and kick the goal. If the players hadn't stopped for the whistle then he never would've had a clean run at it and the goal probably wouldn't have happened.
