  1. It upsets me how inevitable this is.
  2. Happy with the changes. A little stiff on Georgiou, but I'm glad to see Gawny get a run finally, even if I don't think he's entirely capable of holding down a permanent forward position just yet. Will be interesting to see how his chop-outs in the ruck compare to Pedders' who I think has played the role admirably in the last couple of weeks. Am happy with the backline as long as Grimesy stays in it this week. Such a tragedy to see Byrnes out of the team. Best of luck Pigdog.
  3. Number 1 one on my list is a win against North Melbourne. Have always irrationally hated those guys.
  4. Tom's currently ranked number 1 in the league for total 1%s, number 3 on average per game. Definitely coming into his own this year.
  5. Nice to see Tim Smith featured in the highlights video, not just every goal from a Melbourne player. Couple of hectic goals from Tappy.
  6. I like the idea of it, but Cotchin's much more dangerous forward than Murphy is and we'd probably lose out on that match up. Besides, it stopped being a case of shut down Cotchin, shut down Richmond when Deledio came back into the side. Might be a decent time to move Dunn into a defensive forward position to cut out some of Deledio's influence. Can't think who else we could put on that task.
  7. http://m.afl.com.au/news/2014-05-13/new-breed-of-key-defenders?utm_medium=RSS Nice to see Tom McDonald starting to get some recognition outside the club.
  8. The VFL reports just give the players with the best stats. We'll have a better idea who played their role after seeing the player reviews.
  9. Clisby, Georgiou and Gawn are the only ones ready for a recall, going from the Casey reviews. Sounds like McKenzie needs to work on being more damaging offensively, which is pretty obvious because he can't kick the football, and Kent will probably get a week in the VFL before a recall. I'm guessing this'll see Byrnes get another week until Kent's ready to take over his role. Bringing in Clisby and moving Dunn forward would see us having a very tall, slow forward line. Possible replacements for injuries: Frawley - Georgiou, move Dunn forward Terlich - Clisby I reckon Gawn's ready to take on first ruck if required, but don't think he could provide the forward pressure we want as a permanent forward. Salem's the wildcard after 3 games as sub. Roos mentioned in his interview that players probably need a run back at VFL to get up match fitness again after a few games as sub, so he could be another out, but hopefully he's given a full game and we can limit Byrnes to the one quarter.
  10. Pretty much agree. Always like reading your three word post game threads, joeboy.
  11. "Bail, has to be perfect... and he is." What just happened?
  12. Jamar very impressive in the ruck this evening.
  13. "Feels like a bit of the crowd's come! The more we talk about it, the more they come!" -Triple M on the Brissy/Bummers game.
  14. No double entendres intended.
  15. Plays a mean devil's advocate, most people hate the guy. Dunno how he keeps it up.
  16. One of my favourite things about the selected side this week is that I'd be happy with any one of the emergencies running out on Saturday. But nothing beats Jack being cleared to play.
  17. Alright. Free hugs. Free hugs all around. This has affected my mood all week and now I am walking on the clouds. Thank you footy gods.
  18. Damn it, I was looking forward to acting like a plum. An annual fee for killing the swear filter's a good idea.
  19. Should have a Survivor style culling of the least liked posters, but if you've donated then you're safe from being nominated.
  20. In Adelaide. Can't walk. YyyyeeeeessaAfgghh
  21. High fences.
  22. Reckon he's just missing big Tex. Bring him over then Bernie.
