  1. Glad not to be a Richmond supporter. 98 - 12 at half time... Kinda want Sydney to go on with it just to satisfy my schaudenfruade brought on from watching today's game.
  2. Haha, feel bad for you inanunda... It appears most couldn't be bothered clicking on the link and reading it fully before posting.
  3. If Hibberd falls through perhaps Suban would be another target for that half back flank spot... Another strong left footer with 144 games experience and a few years younger. I'd be interested depending on the cost. http://m.afl.com.au/news/2016-08-03/fremantles-nick-suban-emerges-as-likely-trade-target-for-victorian-clubs
  4. Someone clearly forgot to tell them it was raining, trying to spot up 15 metre passes at the flanks to a 50/50 is just stupid. But what was more infuriating was it seemed they gave up in the last quarter. How Sydney doubled our tackle count is just baffling in these conditions. Not enough want. They have the week off now to think about it. Shame it fell away so badly. While not happy, I was content with the effort for the first 3/4.
  5. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this but this is the pop-up I've been getting on occasion lately. Despite what it says, I have not visited adult websites (seriously, I haven't... That's what the laptop is for) and it only opens up while browsing demonland. Again I'm not sure if this is something on my end or if it's a potential problem with the site, but it's a potential risk with the pop-up wanting the user to download an "app" which is probably malicious.
  6. Not related to this software update but wanted to raise an issue I've experienced 2 or 3 times this last month. When using my mobile (android) to access demonland I've encountered a suspicious pop-up that hijacks the page saying my device is at risk or infected. I've been able to remove the pop-up without clicking on anything and scanning my device with my own anti-virus software says my phone is safe. Not sure if this random pop-up is an issue on my end or not but thought I'd let you know about it. I'll take this time to say thanks for the efforts you and other admin/moderators put in to running this site. I'm also glad there's no feature that logs how many hours I've spent reading on here.
  7. I don't get it. Wario is a boss in battle and goes alright in GP mode. Best of the heavyweights in my opinion. Still, Yoshi is my player of choice.
  8. I think Kennedy has dropped off the last week or two but he started getting his hand on the pill a bit in the last quarter. Tough call this week.
  9. Deservedly gets a good wrap for his kicking skills but his hands are just as good. The vision and execution of some of those handballs he pulls off are ridiculously impressive (like Oliver). I hope he gets a good run in the middle at some stage.
  10. I thought it was more that people are taking issue with essendon being involved because of their doping regime. Couldn't care less about form, they're usually good games regardless of ladder position. I doubt many will question either teams involvement or right to play in it after this year.
  11. I have nothing useful to add to this discussion, but decided I should research this word stuie keeps using. Urban Dictionary gave me this... P.S. not having a go stuie, just found some of these humorous. - Primarily the same definition as "lol", but simply for people who want to be different, and original. - Always in lower caps. Used when someone finds something derisory or pathetic. Its use depends on the mood of the user: the more bored they are, the more they'll be inclined to use it. - How douchebags say "lol"; similar to "lolz" or "lawl", but with a greater amount of douchebaggery. Person 1: *says something funny* Person 2: LOL Person 3: LEL Person 1: wtf o.O? Person 2: Oh, don't mind him. He's just a douch*bag. - Lel - Laughing Even Louder. Used to maintain your impeccable reputation of being a one-up guy Person 2: *slaps Person 1* Person 1: Lol.. That wasn't smart... *gets ready to fight* Person 2 : Lel... I think it was.. *gets ready to fight* A fight ensues.. Person 2 Obviously wins because they used the superior variant of Lol. I digress, back to Watts. I like him. Continue...
  12. Reading the afl injury list I saw that Freeman is now listed as indefinite with a hamstring injury that has plagued him for his first two years at Collingwood (might be a different leg to his original injury, not sure). I was pretty keen on him pre-draft with his explosive pace a highlight and was unsure about Salem at the time of drafting him. Suffice to say I'm happy having Salem on our list. Another win for Taylor.
  13. Damn, I forgot about this awesome thread. Who doesn't like watching a middle aged guy dancing awkwardly to metal? He does have a few credits in the bank for being one of the most talented musicians going around in the genre. These guys are getting a bit of airplay on triple J and I was impressed when I saw them live late last year. This may have been posted already but gets me every time.
  14. Or they were the players they rated the highest regardless of their height? 2-3cm isn't going to get someone crossed off the list if they're talented enough.
  15. Not that I disagree with what you're saying re opportunities, but as a base first contract out from the draft his base wage is set and fairly minimal. Can't get much lower unless he was de-listed and given a rookie contract, granted I believe first round draftees get a small bonus for being picked earlier. Opportunities and injury management of course are other issues but if his salary was a factor in leaving it would be more likely that St Kilda are offering greater than his old contract rather than Collingwood reducing it. Edit: Feel for Scharenberg, must be hard knowing you'll be missing an entire season before the new year has even come around.
  16. This year the first round feels so open that i'm struggling to find a particular combination of players that I would prefer to fall to our picks. It probably adds an extra element of excitement and mystery for tomorrow night as the top 10 is usually largely known in order with accurate phantom drafts from Quayle and Twomey. Perhaps that will yet be the case but it feels different. Regardless, I'm just happy that I can trust the recruiting department to find us two quality best 22 players that will hopefully play 200+ games for us plus some later draft gems.
  17. Last year I was impressed by the write-up of ANB and was hoping he would slip to one of our later picks after being touted as an early 2nd round pick. I was absolutely stoked he was still there at 40 and pumped that we called his name out. This year, through even less research and watching less footage (read highlights) I'm going to put up a couple names that I hope will slip through to our later picks. I have no idea if these kids can play football, but if we recruit one of these guys I'll be claiming them as my boy and expect to be praised for my uncanny ability to hedge my bets, guess and hope. Luke Partington Tom Cole Brayden Fiorini
  18. Deal still hasn't been put through, too late in the day to officially be signed off?
  19. I may be mistaken but I believe there has been a history of draft picks given near the end of a trade period to even out earlier deals. Perhaps we may yet see a third or fourth rounder from essendon after they've finalised their other deals? Or not...
