  1. Get Boak or Dangerfield, they are yet to resign so target them now unofficially.
  2. Our Defence is better than theirs Their forwards are better than ours They cancel each other out Our mids need to find some form because I rate the Tiges midfield as a fair way ahead of ours. Play Dunn as a defensive forward to limit Deledios run off half back At this stage Tiges for me but show me something boys
  3. My baby sister went to Sacred Heart with him and in all honesty he was just a teenager. Me personally I like a bit of scallywag in lads. I don't get to see enough TAC footage to compare him with others but I was very surprised he fell so far in the pecking, I knew his West Perth form would have an affect but did not expect him to fall so much
  4. You haven't had to much to drink,if you can remain parralel without assistance. I only drink to be sociable Football is an easy game made hard by the players
  5. Look this may sound crazy but 10-12 players away not so sure. I will start with the midfiled because once that is sorted out we will improve dramatically In desperate need of 2 quality mids with slick skills, Trengove, Jones & Magner will be complimented by this & Gysberts when his body grows will be a vital cog The better skills will see better delivery to our forwards. Also have only seen videos of Viney but mostly highlight reels looks hard at it should be an asset loved his father and hope he is as good. As a whole they need to work on their running power to spread, and provide options/support to teamates Defence - They have the makings of a good unit Frawley however looks down on confidence and if we can sort out the m. 1 half back to break the lines with speed if Blease is prepared to do the hard yards on the track this is his role if not trade him. Finishing piece is somone with penetrating kick to take prssure off and make quick breaks on the counter, do we have this in Strauss and Tappy, not sure. The defence is not that bad IMO yesterday showed they struggle when they looked up they either had to try and run it out getting into trouble or bomb it long where it would come straight back in. I believe this could be solved with improvements as suggested abobe re midfield . Forward - The forward set up will be improved with a quality crumber and improvement in the midfield delivery Ruck - Martin, Gawn, Fitzy to take over from Rush is that enough if not target a ruckman from another club not getting enough game time like Sydney did with Jolly, who is out there Bellchambers, Zac Clarke, Griffen So although it doesn't look it at the moment I'd say 4 or 5 players away
  6. Aaron stayed on the track for around 45 minutes after the squad finished at training in Perth on Friday and was given an interval running session. He looked fairly knackered at the end of it.
  7. DC your usually around the mark but off here, Darling whilst having some off field issues actually dropped off considerably at WAFL level. He was outstanding at junior level and it all came very easily for him. He looked really good when I first saw him play for West Perth but dropped off after a few games and looked lazy, which contributed IMO to him dropping down in recruters eyes. Word is when he first rocked up a West Coast he was a bit of a big head and thought it was all just going to happen. By all accounts Woosha and some senior players gave him a rocket and from there he never looked back. Would Bailey have done that and did we have any senior players to do it IMO if there is a boys club at Melbourne he would have fallen right into it and may not have had the impact he has at at Meth Coast and I know after witnessing what I did yesterday he certainly would not have got the delivery he was getting from their midfield
  8. Pretty much sums up the problem with us in the last 10 years, Jonesy is not gifted with talent but is prepared to work his bollocks off to get the best out of himself. Pity we don't have more of them, Magner is showing the same just looks happy to be getting his break and doing whatever he can to mak it last putting his head over the ball going in and winning it and running to receive Give me 18 players with that work ethic and 4 real class players and your team wont be far away from top 4 regularly. We have been overloaded with gifted players with low work ethic that will take more than 1 pre season to change
  9. Agree with this the list was that bad the rebuild was not the 3 to 5 year rebuild of other clubs. We were more on par with the Carlton of 2001/2 and a rebuild taking 8 or so years
  10. A lot of media crucified him and they put it down to it being his first post match press conference. Don't get me wrong I liked it and hate PC but I heard it throughout the week
  11. 6) Magner 5) Clark 4) Jones 3) Rivers 2) Dunn 1) T. Mcdonald
  12. Shane Woewodin told me a few yars ago during his time at Melbourne the Danniher we seen in front of the cameras was different to the one behind closed doors, I think Neeld is the same. He was crucified last week for being honest in his presser!
  13. 18 months ago my god mother was diagnosed with agressive cancer. i was knocked and could see no light at the end of a long tunnel. she grabbed the bull by the horns and with the help of family and friends fought the bastard off and is now enjoying life and a grandson. i felt like [censored] at subi today and thought to myself how the fook are we going to improve and i couldn't think of anything barring snarring some quality mids from somewhere. so for those wallowing in self pity for following the dees and talking of the end of the club HTFU. Did we learn nothing from Jimmy he never gave up even in the clubs darkest hour or when doctors gave him little time to live. Se must carry on his fight 2011 showed us you get nothing cause you have young talent, the club has put the neccessary sources into the footy dept but ffs if you thought it was going to change in one pre season you were mistaken. And in closing i dont give a fook that some have waited 48 years, either be prepared for some more pain before we move forward or take up something else for th next two years before coming back!
  14. i agree we should only do the press stuff required to by afl contracts this week. the rest of the week shut up shop no talk speak by your actions on field.
  15. biff one of these days when im in melbourne watching a game id fancy catching up for a few porters. you put a smile on my face with that post and believe me after seeing that at subi today i needed it. And gotzy ffs are you taking the [censored] its bailey who got us here hard times ahead but its what has to be done
  16. Twenty years ago i would have suggested the boys go away together away from everyone get on the [censored], speak honest and clear the air. fook knows how they do things like that these days.
  17. I was there today and fwis clark is good really good one on one, magner has the hunger half our team needs and the defence has the makings of a solid defence but the amount of times it came back in because of no gut running to give an option. we got smashed in the middle, priddis, gaff & scott selwood killed us and the running power of the eagles was very impressive. the midfield needs to be sorted out to give the defence options, get clearances and give some good delivery to our forwards. tough deccisions to be made and maybe fair bit of trading to be done. watts is struggling with confidence big time and frawley had a day to forget.
  18. I have a close friend (and another Dees man) who is involved with player development in WA, he has been telling me for years how much emphasis Meth Coast put into sports science and player development. He has always maintained it is a massive advantage and one which was underestimated. Hopefully the structures we put into our FD at the end of last season will see benefits for the years ahead
  19. Cox, was injured all year as was Embley & Glass, not to mention 2011 was the first year Shuey had no injuries heading into the year and a full pre season under his belt. They put the cue in the rack from about round 14 in 2010 sent every one away for surgery and started preparing for 2011 well in advance. Their older players and leaders are outstanding and if you take them out they fall back with the pack very quickly. Where we can gain hope from Meth Coast rise last season is the likes of Scott Selwood, Will Schofield, Brad Ebert and others got the 50-60 games into them hich can not be underestimated
  20. Not a crazy idea, his job at the cattery is complete and this would be a massive challenge, which IMO may appeal to him
  21. I will never let you forget this post C & B, thank christ you weren't up against the huns in WW2!
  22. When I was living in Dublin I went to watch my club play a match after being left out of the side. I'd had an all night session the night before and about 4 hours sleep. When I rock up I get advised 2 lads went down with food poisoning so could I play. I went home got my boots and after throwing up during the warm up played out of my skin even scoring from full back, I have never been able to emulate that game again so maybe you are on to something there Deestroy All
  23. I really don't know, I think I may get very emotional but just hope it's something I have to think about one day! Of course I will have plenty of porters to drink on the day and the ensuing days
  24. Queens Birthday 2010 we hung in there and didn't give up. Granted had there were times when it looked like they were ready to blow the game open but a bit of grit kept us in it. I was flying back to Ireland while the game was on and watched the replay on the net. There were relatives in the house I hadn''t seen for a number of years but I kept going back in to watch the match. In the end they joined me in watching it over a few cans, great memory. We've taken a few steps back since that day but will rise again.
  25. Chook I don't mean to be condesending but if you don't drink at all it may be hard to understand. I love a drink and compete in endurance events with a 20 week lead up programme. The last 4 to 6 weeks of these I am alcohol free and I find it very hard in fact it is even harder than the event, but maybe that's cause I'm Irish. I don't think he would have been going out to get smashed.
