WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - TOM GILLIES
Demon_spurs replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Sorry gs12 I think the groan was for the bad (good) Gillies- Pies pun -
I think he's definitely been unlucky with the injuries, but I reckon that dropped mark against Collingwood did his head in....I also heard him on SEN the other week, full of praise for the MFC not a bad word against his former club, understood the process of list management. Good bloke, I also remember he knocked back a reasonable offer from Gold Coast a couple of years ago and stuck with the dees.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRIS DAWES
Demon_spurs replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
I watched Dawes in the first final and was surprised by his agility and attack on the ball, I think he might be OK, would certainly never get the best backman if Clark plays so worth a shot, I had a lot of time for Stef but in the cool clear light, maybe he's not that good -
Could someone tell why the AFL website has a Brownlow Tracker that doesn't work ??? I'll answer my own question, It was designed by the MRP

Was wondering that, thanks Nasher

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
Demon_spurs replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
Someone may have asked this already (I skipped a few pages) but is it possible that GWS or GC could nominate Daniher rather than Viney ? -

Well I'll be the first to admit I bagged him for his past 4 years at the Dees, however I never played AFL footy (and that says it all!) , so good on ya Brad happy retirement.

Beams signs for 3 ... Cloke edges closer to Dees?
Demon_spurs replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
Whew had a heart attack then, thought the thread read Beamer signs for 3....slow down heart! -
That Royal blue and red jumper from the eightees should NEVER been seen again !!!!! I don't mind the white jumper, however I agree that yesterday it was confusing, and a notice needs to be sent back to the AFL/MFC not to wear this strip again when playing the Aints
-
Good, I don't want him to go.

Are you telling me that players that are under contract can't get traded ???? I just wish he would lighten up. I will give him lots of credit today, he listens, last week he played on and cost himself and the team 2 goals, today I watched through my fingers when he took the mark running towards goal about 25m out, but he stopped went back and slotted it. I don't want him to go, but when asked in a joke on Robbo's show about T$ leaving he sounded still disappointed, and I'm fatalistic enough to fear the worst !

6. Spencer (He was outstanding today) 5. Blease (5 goals say no more) 4. Dunn (battled hard and got stuck into Goddard) 3. Grimes (should have kicked that goal) 2. Jones. (3 quarters but went missing in the 3rd) 1. Howe (just because he always gives a contest)

From watching today, I think Bate, Bail, and Moloney will not be there next year. Stellar, J Mac, Sylvia, Strauss, are border line, Dunn may be the unlucky one, thought he was ok today
