I'm constantly amused by the idea that all forwards have to be the walking adonis's of Nick Rewolt, Kouta ilk . LJ is slightly built and lean, I cannot or do not really want to see him bulk up. He looks lazy and laconic, but still manages to kick 40 goals this year. He is definitely in our best 22 and if he only does one piece of LJ magic a game, I'll still come away a happy man. Furthermore I don't think he will ever be the fittest player, opportunist forwards never seem to be. I just love the X factor he brings to the team

Do I sense a mature age rookie for the Dees next year?

What's really encouraging is the momentum that's building, watch the membership go through the roof once we become regular final contributors, looking around the traps at the moment, Bullies are fairly comparable, the Ruse are behind the 8 ball, but the real surprise are the Aints only 13k, Oh how sweet it is !!!!

With success brings recognition, the brand has been damaged and watered down over the past 50 years, but it seems the torch may have been re-lit, interestingly this seasons appointees have all mentioned the history of the club as one of the reasons they chose to come, I can feel the embers glowing and catching light when men like Jim and the board start encouraging them to flare. I now have great optimism, I have followed for the past 46 years but now it seems like our time is coming (and not before time) all the suffering will be worth it!. The Melbourne Football Club will take it's rightful place again at the top of the heap...Go Dees 2012

Demon_spurs replied to Vagg's topic in Melbourne Demons
Why would it bother anyone here what time Friday footy begins, MFC only have one game there next year, so I can hold on to watch Carl...or Coll or worse ST K, bring on Homes and Garden I say !!!! -
Hmm and it has Mexican food too

M Chinn has stated through the media that Eddiewood will be aiming for 100,000 members by creating a "love us or hate us" campaign, I think this is the start of a carefully thought out campaign. By encouraging the "common" Eddiewood supporter to start crying and join up.

I went into the Inverloch Club Rooms there's a picture of B Lovett hanging on the wall, he played a bit of junior footy there, but I loved the fact they claimed him as their own.

3 km time trial - Friday 4 November, 2011

Getting back to the time trial, I noticed when the first group came in, it seemed CS was running in Red, why was he the only one in red? Is this a discipline thing ? -
You know what would be great? if Kennet took the vacated CEO position and he and Sheeds could have contest over who could make the most ridiculous statements, I reckon it could be close.
-
Maybe the reason they went with the RED top is that the kids can get it signed by the favorite players, bit hard to do with the blue one. I don't mind the RED tops but I think the polo looks like a primary school kids top that has been in the hamper too long, would be better to be a micro fibre slim line top (in Red)

C'mon he won't be there, the knee will be sore or a hangnail or something. Mark this as a prophecy, he'll be a no show !!
-
How bout Hurricane, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Mitch WE could have Hurricane and Jurrahcane 41,123
-
One regret in it all, no camera on Joffa at the end, would have put the icing on the cake(walk).
-
Winner: Geelong Margin: 45 Points Norm Smith: Varcoe You heard here first !
-
Ah statistics are like a lamp post not so much a source of illumination but something to lean on
-
I think Wona's on shakey ground too Bate Delist Sylvia Probably will request a transfer Morton keep (he frustrates me too, but he gets in the right places, needs some confidence to start making good choices with the ball) Scully GWS (doesn't look interested ATM) Davey Keep (but if we do, he has cashed in all his brownie points)....MInd you should not play another game this year is obviously injured and afraid to re-injure) Warnock Delist Maric keep (still young and deserves another go)
-
I'm not sure how the poll thing works, but I say put it to the vote, would Demonland want Andrew Lovett at MFC. I would after watching our midfield capitulate on Sunday
-
Don't blame Bate the delivery was awful most of the time Out: Gysberts (rested), Trengrove (rested), Dunn In: Scully, McDonald, Jurrah Trenners looked like he was going through the motions today, needs to freshen up for the Bluhs!

Struth had a heart attack, " Tom Resigns" then realised it was Tom Re-signs !
