  1. With respect, a handful of examples doesn't exactly prove that. Need a much bigger sample size (Statistics 101)!! e.g. watching him over an entire season, or seasons. However, your perception is your reality. As is mine!! That's why we have these forums. It's nice if, despite disagreeing, we can all be nice to each other. We certainly are ad idem in hoping JW has a great 2016. One thing we all agree on is that he is a ripping bloke
  2. I agree that his tackling is pathetic.. And he needs to make a contest when it's his turn to "go". But one thing I've noticed is that quite often his teammates seem to ignore his leads. Or am I just imagining that?
  3. Nice work TT. I stand corrected. I now recall that there were actually 3 Howards - Moe, Curly and, from time to time, Shemp. Andy Maher must have had the same elocution teacher as Julia Gillard. I also find his melodramatic use of the words "on this PLANET" to be a bit annoying.
  4. 4-6 seasons?
  5. Wow. This really is a free for all. A few random comments: Andy Maher. He actually lives round the corner from me (Clifton Hill). I saw him today. I noticed that he had a Hawthorn sticker on his car, which I thought was odd for a Carlton supporter. Perhaps it was his wife's car? I can't usefully add anything to previous comments other than to say his use of the word "bunch" is pretty annoying. Dr Turf. Jonathan Rothfield? He is a VERY wealthy man. He clearly does the radio gig because he enjoys it; certainly doesn't need the money. (I can't imagine he'd be paid much anyway.) I had a chat to him at the footy once. Nice bloke. I find him very amusing. Definite keeper!! Steven J. Peake. I'm a lawyer myself. I once attended a mediation where he was representing another party. Here's the tip!! His on air persona is no act!!! Francis Leach. Happy with his return. Tim Watson. He is quite witty. I think he's more suited to radio than TV so his audience isn't subjected to his simpering grin. Mark Fine. He's a classic. He used to dish out vitriolic abuse to callers. My son likened him to Mo from the 3 Stooges. This is quite ironic because most of Mo's abuse (verbal and physical) was directed to Larry & Curly. (They were brothers, whose surname was Fine!!). Further, has Finey softened? A month or 2 Finey purported to quote Voltaire "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it". Given his verbal attacks on callers, perhaps an attempt at humour? Point of order. It wasn't actually Voltaire who said that. However, in fairness to Finey, it is a fairly common misconception. Rex Hunt. He does the occasional interview with old sports stars which are played at sparrow's fart. "This Sporting Life"? Or something similar. I recall that when on 3AW he used to bag ABC radio commentators, calling them the Tobin Brothers. The sponsor of these interviews? Yep, Tobin Brothers. Hello, is anyone still reading this?
  6. I could hardly contain my excitement on the way home. Would my membership pack be in the letterbox? It was!! And I was not disappointed. A little calendar (which should still be with his parents), some stickers, a lanyard, membership card and a few other pieces of paper which are eminently suitable for my recycling bin. I'm looking forward to collecting my undersized scarf at Round 1 2016. I'm pumped!
  7. Absolutely!! He's a walk up start at Casey!!
  8. It isnt even a real sport. I don't know anyone who cares less about it. Waste of time.
  9. ___________________________________________________ Hey, don't bag Dave Dee Dozy Beaky Mick & Tich. (OK, well maybe it's ok to bag Beaky.) They did The Legend of Xanadu!! Paul & Barry Ryan. Paul decided to drop out of performing and stuck to songwriting for his brother. My thirdborn is named after their most famous song, which was released the following year. Useless fact #443.
  10. My brain hurts!!!
  11. Well, I rode 100 km on my bike a couple of weeks ago!!
  12. I have never understood why Hodge is regarded as a good bloke. His thuggery on Wingard scarcely rated a mention. Sniper.
  13. Tomlinson DEFINITELY wants to leave. And GWS doesnt particularly rate him. He'll leave.
  14. Agree that he is a great guy, but a very ordinary footballer. The fact that he played so many games is a sad indictment on the club at the time.
  15. No way. Agree that he's a good athlete. But no football brain.
  16. David Neitz likes taxi drivers too!!
  17. I was at the match. Hawthorn were very good. WC were awful. It was a terribly disappointing match.
  18. I know for certain that Tomlinson hates being at GWS (for various reasons) and wants to come back to Melbourne.
  19. Just needs to improve disposal to become an A grader. He cant kick very far, but neither can Sam Mitchell. He's a ripper.
  20. He's a ripper. Definite A grader as long as his hammies hold out.
  21. He's a walrus.
  22. Doug Koop?
  23. The Club is pathetic. I have valuable information regarding Adam Tomlinson. I emailed the football club suggesting that someone from the football department call me. Still waiting. Hopeless.
