  1. I rate Bev. But she's 54. Perhaps a bit past bikini wearing age?
  2. He has become a very good player. Great to see. I hereby promise never to call him a big oaf again.
  3. Perhaps it would be best to simply expect very little? Then anything more than that would then be pleasing.
  4. I was at that final in 2006. McLean played a blinder; particularly in the last quarter. The highlight was just before half time. Gehrig marked at about 50 m. He went back to take the kick. Carroll was on the mark. He (Gehrig) then played on. Got caught (holding the ball) and stuffed his knee in the tackle. Off for the rest of the match. Hahaha!! Happy memories. (Not much since.) I'm going today. Not at all confident. Go Dees!!!
  5. I was a terrible match between 2 very poorly skilled sides. Fortunately they were worse.
  6. I have an apology to make. I called Mark Preston a big fat turd. That was so wrong. I meant Matt Preston.
  7. dee-eee. By all means. I wonder if he ever found that chip dropped by the seagull on the MCC concourse that he was looking for!!
  8. I know that he's not a current footballer, but Brian Taylor is a big fat turd. He's like that Mark Preston who is also a big fat turd. They are both big fat turds. And that has been scientifically proven!! (At the Ponds Institute.)
  9. 1. Just did. 2. Robbie Flower, who else. 3. round 22, Western Oval 1987. I was there. The next 2 finals were fantastic. 4. 1988/2000 grand finals. They were horrendous. 1987 Preliminary Final was a nightmare. But the team would have got thrashed by Carlton the following week even had we won. 5. I loved the Johnny Northey era. He got the "us against them" mentality working beautifully. So many battlers did so well under his tutelage, e.g Jamie Duursma, Doug Koop, Dean Chiron.
  10. I was there!! Thanks fror the reminder about Jordie's kick for goal. Not!!
  11. Spot on!! So well put it reads like something I had written!!!
  12. McDonald's OK, but he should recognise his own limitations, and play within them.
  13. Danger game? Are you kidding? What match isn't, well other than most of them which are certain losses?
  14. Lovely mixing of metaphors. Rocket science + brain surgery!! ;-)
  15. There was not one second during that match that I thought Melbourne would win. Poor teams inevitably find a way to lose.
  16. If Bail and M. Jones are the only choices for 21 & 22, it might be better to play 2 short.
  17. I predicted carnage. And put $100 on Geelong. Delighted to be wrong!! Happy to lose the $100. (Won more than that betting against them the past few years anyway.) Go Dees!!!!
  18. Budge. I'd rather lose my money, but betting against Melbourne slightly eases the pain. And pays for coffees/muffins etc.
  19. It will be carnage. Odds on Geelong (head to head) on Sportsbet are 1.11. I got on at 1.15. Easy money.
  20. Of yous guys I'm not sure who the most stupidest is!
  21. Totally agree. That's why I get so annoyed when the coach talks about a lack of effort on the part of the players. Most of them are ridiculously overpaid. It's a shame the Club has to pay up to the cap, and the players cant be paid on a performance basis.
