  1. Maybe it is the same one that šŸ˜®Scott says the Cats had in our PF slaughter? if that is the case he should stay well away from the club and from teammates. Maybe he could drop over and share water bottles at Lexus or Punt Road though.

    An oxymoron?
  3. I also wouldnā€™t expect him to come straight back into the team given the nature and duration of his injury - but who knows? He did play round zero 2024 with what seemed to be almost zero preseason. Maybe the club will learn from past mistakes - hopefully.

Any mention of horrible club culture, or is that ā€œimpartial balanced journalismā€ reserved for clubs much dearer to our hearts?
  5. 123etc - I must say I tend to agree re Campbell. Has he shown anything at all as a forward option? I understood that he was really a pure back up ruck, in which case AJ would probably be well ahead of him in the Pedersen mold. Sharp should be close. Not so sure, at this stage, re Spreadsheet as he hasnā€™t been in full training yet, has he?
  6. Good points šŸ‘» 2023 and 2024 we had played finals the year before so were 2 weeks behind in prep, AND many players were totally knocked about. This year we have 4 extra weeks of ā€œrestā€ and very few carrying injury. Poles apart, and as you rightly said earlier the monkey is off the back in a way.

Most of us love his talent, evasiveness and goal sense, but BF31 had a pretty poor 2024 by his standards. Was it niggling injuries, or psychological - who knows? But given the emerging young talent coming through, could one think that 2025 could be a bit of a crossroads year for Baillie? I agree 100% that he needs to exert more pressure on the clearing defenders. Go Frittata - make 2025 yours.
  8. True. And also the thinking one, or maybe a bewildered one

  10. Of course nobody can really predict anything much, but for what it is worth I would hope that JVR if not required to do any ruck work other than deep inside our 50, would contribute maybe 50+ goals, and Disco 40+.
  11. šŸ‘» - I hope that you are right and that Shane plays a blinder round 1,2,3 etc even making Koz earn his way back round 4.
  12. Mr fence - I too have had serious reservations re Shane McAdam - but some have suggested that he is on a specific tailored programme possibly specifically to have him ready for Kozzieā€™s spot rounds 1-3. I guess only time will tell. Interesting, ghost - havenā€™t seen a WCW report in ages. Are you and her ever seen in the same undoctored photo?
  13. A million thanks to all who have contributed to all but particularly this training report. The vibes seem almost universally positive and it seems we can look forward to a far better season in 2025. Sounds like we have got over the physical and mental traumas of 2023 and 2024 allowing for far better preparation for the long season ahead - šŸ¤ž5 weeks longer than last. I was beginning to worry that Mr fence had been envenomated en route and missed his fave Mr J showing his wares it seems with some aplomb The whole team balance sounds better with more alternative options available in ruck, mids, forwards and defence. I hope the selectors and match day team show more flexibility and use these options more, when needed. Seasons greetings to all fellow Demonlanders Really looking forward to the next podcast when our hardworking dedicated team get a chance to- no pressure šŸ¤”

    Surely absolutely not possibly.
  15. chook - Spartacus has been a full year out of the game. May not be ready round 1 to replace Koz. Maybe McAdamā€™s opportunity given his specifically tailored preseason?
  16. Probably not even since Hassa Centre Mann?
  17. Maybe he was counting, encountering, or countering šŸ
  18. Thanks to all for their reports What is up with Sestan being in rehab? I like the sound of what he offers (though I have never seen him) but his presumed position is getting very crowded and he surely must make a debut in 2025, and a decent one at that, if he is ever going to make the grade and remain on the list. I guess he was a low risk high ceiling sort of pick anyway.
  19. šŸ˜® didnā€™t know they had one. Amazing what modern technology can achieve way beyond IVF. Will he be a FS Cat or Demon.
  20. IMO many of Dukeā€™s kicks were already elite, especially earlier in the season. Duke, Langford, Kolt and The Spreadsheet will serve us well for a long time.
  21. As long as he kicks bags of sausage rolls I donā€™t care what he eats. He an TMcD can share a wooly mammoth for dinner. Sounds as if he could be a Pedersen clone perhaps.
  22. As long as there are not too many clangers.
  23. Surely you meant the olā€™ 5-13? So when Harleyā€™s contract ends and he pleads to trade to the dominant Demons, will that cause a conflict? šŸ¤—
  24. Thanks all Can we afford to be confident re KW34 and CP5? Sound reasonably positive.
