2026 Free Kick Differential
The Anzac Eve game will have helped that. And what a massive total number of frees both ways in Sydney games.

Blake Howes appreciation thread
What a great highlight reel Cool, calm and collected. No panic, great decisions.

PREGAME: Rd 08 vs Sydney
Part of the reason that it was difficult to see across the ground, I guess as a player, but certainly as a spectator on the ground level was the curvature (?camber) of the ground. Not missed as a venue to watch footy. I have heard with some authority that some of the players initially thought that their dear friend and team mate, Angus, was dead. Knocked the stuffing out of them mentally. Interesting numbers - would be even more interesting if expressed as percentage of shots at goal The last two on the list likely had far fewer shots than the first two.

Blake Howes appreciation thread
Blake has become super reliable. Plays "above his height". His save, with Kolt, in the dying minutes of the Bears game was very mature and considered.

Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
Jai may not be in hospital quite yet - I don't think an ACL acute injury gets fixed immediately ie a week or so for swelling to go down.

CASEY: Rd 05 vs Richmond VFL
Tairon certainly looks a brute - does he have, real or potential AFL skills? Accepting that he has not had any real fitness involvement at this stage? IF he is that good, potentially, could he be a midseason pick up given that we would expect 2 or 3 slots - McAdam and Campbell likely retirements, and Culley LTI? The club has already said that Petty will be a few weeks away given the lack of diagnostic clarity

PREGAME: Rd 08 vs Sydney
Neurological things can be very hard to diagnose. I am sure Harrison is being investigated by appropriate medical experts but there is not always a definite answer. Wasn't Howesโ originally notes as a winger? However he is doing such great work in defence he should probably stay there - as much as anyone has an actual position these days.

PODCAST: Rd 07 vs Richmond
What a great win, ugly for 3 quarters but solid finish. How well is our new midfield of Steel, Kozzi, sparrow and Windsor performing? Could anyone expect that the loss of three premiership mids, JV7, CP5 and CO13 over one offseason be covered so well ? The loss of Culley will hurt though as he was a big bodied slot in role player if any of 5he above arenโt available? Who would be the next fill ins? Langford? Langdon? Sharp? Rivers? Bowey? Laurie? Cross? Henderson?

Welcome to Demonland: Tom Sparrow
Tom, with Jack Steel, have covered the loss of โsuperstarsโ CP5 and CO13, very well. Far better than most would have expected. He would be sorely missed.

CASEY: Rd 05 vs Richmond VFL
Seems like we scored a goal during the (more than) minute silence. Any live updates?

Welcome to Demonland Bailey Laurie
Like two of the recent posters, I was exasperated at quarter time and wanted him never to play again, but he improved to play probably his best game. Still underwhelming in my eyes, but letโs wait and see

Very lazy play Frittata

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond
Actually doing better out of centre with Moose, for now. But this is so reminiscent of the EssUndone game - definite danger.

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond
Not like for like - not sure who is though. Maybe Lindsay? Stinks of the gather round game - need a rocket at half time.

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond
Zero composure Fumbling, missing tackles Canโt blame the 5 day turnaround as the Tigers got the same.

Headed for a goal then Laurie turns it over Must be on very thin ice.
