Wildcard Round
It may, de facto, mean that only the top 6, that is top third of the competition will realistically be contending, which is not a bad thing really. Having more than half contending is an absolute $$$$ farce.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 10th November 2025
I thought I read in another thread (or earlier in this thread) that the two Maxs were doing running drills together another day. So I would presume that Big Max will be mentoring Slightly Smaller Max.

As I recall quite a few posters made this comparison early in his first year. Very smooth and poised.

2026 Pre-Season Ladder Predictions
I will remain the optimist who is sometimes wrong rather than the pessimist who is always right - top 4 and win 3 finals ❤️💙❤️💙🏆🏆🏆

Aidan Schubert
Maybe, but does he show composure? And I would be concerned that he may leave some of his work unfinished.

POSTGAME: Rd 20 vs St. Kilda
It reminded me of Cats in round 23 2021 - they looked clueless at stopping our momentum - and with much more hanging in the result I agree that this was probably one of the catalysts leading to Simon’s sacking Anyway, all in the past - now looking forward positively and optimistically to 2026

New Rules For AFL 2026 - All SEVEN of ‘em!
I seem to recall there was once an experiment in the Ansett Cup or some other preseason whereby if the ball hit any post and came back into play it was play on. i don’t remember the details but it would be very interesting, and if also as you suggested which space the ball passed through determined the score would get rid of many if those painful score reviews.

New Rules For AFL 2026 - All SEVEN of ‘em!
I agree but every executive feels a need to make changes. Surely if someone shepherds the ball out that is absolutely insufficient intent

Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
Exactly what I was about to say, given the reservations with which one should always view a "highlights reel", CJ appears to have pace, leap, anticipation, evasion, power tackling. follow up and decent thinking ahead and delivery by hand or foot. We will turn him onto an AA 🙄

James Strauss and Adem Maric spring to mind - sold as "absolute elite kicks", yet for different reasons neither got much of the ball.

Mason Cox - A Poll
A bonus to that would be that he would be as far away from Melbourne as possible.

Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
From what I remember seeing him, I think he can kick long and low, which would be a welcome change from high bombs💣 Time will tell.
