  1. Great observation - has long arms like BD, though XL is a better kick and one cannot even try to compare athleticism from those days.
  2. Blatant bias Sportsbet account check newsfeed
  3. binman. IF we are relying on Fritter to be a defensive anything we are in deep deep trouble. (Would just love to be proven wrong).
  4. I used to watch footy shows several nights a week and on weekends. Now I watch matches that interest me, usually with the sound very low or off, and no prematch, half time, post match. So much sensationalism, goofy boy jokes and trivia. re Bruhn - IF there is a suppression order in place, that should surely be public knowledge. IF charges have been laid, wouldn't that also be public knowledge, even though details would not be able to be discussed?
  5. Comparisons with Gawn/Grundy don't account for the fact that Gawn / Jackson did work and indeed won a flag. Grundy could not function as a forward: Jackson can.
  6. One of my pet hates is the whole concept go the VFL, in its present form, as a "support / development competition" for the AFL. As you point out, the multiple byes stifle player development. If they cannot somehow synchronise the AFL fixture with the VFL, which at present with an odd number of teams, then the whole structure of VFL needs to be changed. If that requires ending alignments of some but not all VFL clubs with AFL, then maybe the 10 Victorian based AFL clubs need to set up their own "seconds" competition. I am not sure but I suspect that the WAFL and SANFL where Crows, Power, WCE and Freo players develop don't have all these ridiculous byes, but play every week. Why should the VFL have to carry NSW and QLD teams? WA and SA don't get carried. NSW and QLD should set up their own "seconds" competition - sure they will complain that there isn't the number of clubs of sufficient quality to develop their players - well, tough.
  7. Matthew Lloyd may beg to differ.
  8. And why the WCE guy who pushed Petty into the head clash wasn’t charged. Two big man concussions and he gats away with it.
  9. Had Gibbon not pushed Petty into the contest (and am I right in saying he has form here) neither player would have been concussed. Of course seeing that would be way, way beyond Michael Christian’s intellectual capacity. DubDee - it was the same incident, I believe.
  10. Certainly were Nate to do his full apprenticeship and become a fully credentialed and succesful coach it would be a fabulous emotional story, but be aware that favorite champion sons don’t necessarily make great or even good coaches - Hird, Buckley, Voss spring immediately to mind.
  11. Presumably this very sad excuse for a “support / development competition” is reopening next week?
  12. I agree re Sharp’s contribution - has done nothing wrong - but maybe he needs a full game and that would be at Casey, assuming they don’t have consecutive byes. (Wouldn’t surprise me if this did happen in that joke of a competition 🙄)
  13. OUT: Petty concussion IN: JVR I know some will be gunning for Tholstrup, but he did add energy and will learn finesse quicker at AFL than VFL (when they actually play consecutive games). Also, who would replace him?
  14. 6 Max-a-million 5 Chandler 4 Turner 3 Viney 2 Melksham 1 Langford
  15. I guess they will want that "high fend off" looked at by MRO
  16. Our inability to put teams to the sword shows that we may be ok at times but are not a threat.
  17. [censored] again - any chance of finishing a game and maybe considering %%?
  18. Max-a-million!!
  19. Surprised that the commentary team doesn't want Christian to give Maysie a couple of months off for that
  20. Of course Christian won't miss an opportunity to ping a Melbourne player - knows they won't fight back either.
  21. Bad miss Frittata. Then he laughs about it 🤯
  22. Should be … won’t.
  23. Should be … won’t.
  24. 50 meters of course. But will MRO ping him. Probably not.
