  1. Dawes at 13 would be a gross overpayment: is Wayne Swan running our budget?
  2. How many pick 3 & 4 threads have we now had?
  3. He was at his best early in the season as a strong bodied mid: Neeld may have 'sacrificed' his game a bit by trying him elsewhere, in what after all was an experimental season. One shouldn't be surprised to see him back in the midfield after another strong body building preseason.
  4. What we need is to get Col fully fit, and playing in a more successful team ie Melbourne post 2012! He has just started to show some consistent form, particularly in the midfield where he is a human bulldozer: pity it has taken 7 years, but maybe he needed a coach who told him exactly what was required of him and didn't tolerate anything less, and also improved fitness and freedom from injury. I guess virtually anyone is tradable given the right offer, but I cant see that we would get value when he may just be turning the corner.
  5. When open in safari just click the little rectangle with the arrow in the top right corner, and then ADD TO HOME SCREEN. Whilst not technically an App I guess, it is a shortcut with a Dees emblem. Just click and it opens.
  6. Hopefully that is now the past tense, CAME too easily. I think that MN has already shown that that stopped after 2011.
  7. http://www.afl.com.a...16/default.aspx Interesting - has he cut off his nose to spite his face? May find himself out of AFL altogether. I guess having essentially said he doesn't like the hard work demanded of him by Neeld, maybe nobody wants him.
  8. Ah is is just so great for us to have so many really positive true supporters. So, he may not have been able to break into the strong Cats team, but he is renowned as a hard worker and has big match experience, so should add to the MFC lineup. But there is no pleasing some folk. And welcome Shannon - we are not all negative tossers by the way.
  9. I haven't followed him closely - just what have his injuries been? If recurrent soft tissue types I agree too great a risk. If "impact" injuries then has he been unlucky? Whatever, the suggestion of straight trade for Petterd, though unlikely, would seem reasonable.
  10. 4. NO WAY. Maybe Tippett, but not Dawes even with Wellingham.
  11. .....and do we he really know that something along these lines hasn't been "unofficially" discussed, that our club hasn't even though of that? Wow... Hope they read this board.
  12. I see one big difference is that (hopefully) the target in general play is on the move and can make a few degrees of adjustment: a target behind the goal cannot. But that does not excuse in any way poor set shots, or on the run to a lesser extent, at goal particularly from key forwards for whom kicking goals is their prime role.
  13. It should be a basic skill set especially for forwards. I would be interested to know how many put in practice sessions in their own time - one would hope that anyone striving for excellence would go the extra mile to up skill.
  14. and of course the much maligned (and played out of position) Brent Grgic
  15. i am not advocating his return, but must point out that when he was with us playing at half back there was absolutely no structure and just about anyone would, as you put it, run around like a headless chook in that position.
  16. this is shorely a site four saw "I"s
  17. ...since we have such an amazing record of maximizing our bonus picks :-(((((And, by the way, the thread title should read "Moloney HAS a problem - doesn't like being worked hard", and maybe word is getting around.
  18. Just remind us all again (before I slash what is left of my wrists yet again) just where did Dylan go in the draft and what superstar did we pick before him?
  19. forwards nowadays have to be prepared to apply pressure, which apparently was what kept his bro out of the Swans' lineup for so long despite big goal hauls in the 2s. I doubt if Cale could or would do that but extraordinarily happy for him to be OUR GF surprise packet :-)?(
  20. Exactly...and I must say I didn't find SS at all boring on Saturday. The late 1950s weren't at all boring despite one side dominating.
  21. maybe Sydney can turn him into a premiership player like his bro.
  22. One can see Vlad's already prepared statement, pulled from the bottom drawer as soon as questions are asked: "The AFL has extensively investigated Collingwood's salary cap, and they have been found to be totally compliant"! Pull the other leg, Vlad.
  23. Sheedy's megalomania, and perhaps throw in a bag of bitterness against MFC as well, that made GW$ pay way over what $cully was ever going to be worth. FCS though this time hopefully our recruiting department will actually make the most of the very ripe pickings thrown their way.
  24. But how?Another load of immature teenagers are never going to quickly replace the mature bodied experienced players who are the free agents.
