PICKS # 26 & 31 (formerly # 23 & 28)
Might need to sharpen up his disposal and his set shots. Is Duursma a descendent of Jamie Duursma from the Demon teams of the 80s-90s? I seem to remember him doing a great job on Brereton on a big game. And Valente / Valenti ? Related to Shane - not sure if it is exactly the same name.

Midfielders are not all insiders. We need an outside mid and I suspect that KK is that designation

2019 Ladder Predictions
Not underestimating Jesse’s value, but IIRC we did win more big games without him than with him.

2019 Jumper Numbers
Serious question - are there actually AFL rules that state numbers must be single or double digits only? (If not, I am 100% certain that some would be created on the run)

2019 best 22 and depth chart
WERRIDEE - every successful team has depth, as most other than Richmond 2017 have injuries during the season. Those with depth survive; those without, whither.

2019 best 22 and depth chart
In addition to your observations, Salems Lot, we are approaching the stage where oppositions will need to adapt to us as much as we have had to do to them in the past. Exciting times for us.

Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
Jesse did not kick a lot of goals when it mattered most. Preuss and / or Max will quite likely spend quite a bit of time up forward when a tall marking option is needed. They would both be difficult match ups. The recruiting department obviously saw the writing on the wall for Jesse either this year or next, and felt that despite his undoubted talent his absence could be covered, as it was in the vital last 4 victories of the year, and remembering that was without the added tall Preuss to share Max's ruck load and releasing him forward..

Garbo Do you really think that May would hang around another year?

Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
It will be interesting to see who kicks goals in big pressure games, which is when Jesse seemed to struggle most.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Only 408 pages ? Given his refusal to commit which disrupts forward planning this is the best outcome although he will be missed when he does get on the field. The nett restructuring is a win for us.

Maybe he has, or maybe he hasn't ... doesn't need to tell the world anything at this stage anyway. Maybe it is not his rôle

Frankly if Jesse really wants to go to that rabble and play under their pathetic coach, good luck to him. Hope he gets really frustrated. Because they cant get him if he doesn't agree to go to them. It ain't the draft.

"I smell a rat" Mmmm. The rat of whom I am thinking has just jumped a second ship and is now at Hawthorn, perhaps hoping to fullPhil his perceived destiny. Will look the part in the pees and poos.

2018 Player Reviews: # 40 Patrick McKenna
Hindsight is just so cool. Clearly our professional recruiting staff saw something in him that some posters here did not. FWIW the attached highlights package looked as if he could get the ball, dispose of it cleanly and effectively, and lay a tackle. Still, what do we know? Good luck in whatever endeavours you pursue, and thanks for coming to the Demons even though it didn't end up as all of us would have hoped.

2018 Player Reviews: #5 Christian Petracca
Thanks, Col. How is Freo going? What was it really like to play under Ross? That bad? But back on trac - he has absolutely enormous talent and potential, and I feel this generation of Demons (unlike the aforementioned) have the structure and the leadership on and off the field to help him (yes help him, needs to put in and dedicate himself) to reach the elite level. Go Tracc! Show us all, and show the sceptics.

2018 Player Reviews: # 29 Jayden Hunt
Does anyone actually know what were his problems through 2018? Is it related to the back issues that had him miss most (if not all) of his debut season? If yes, has he recovered from / learned to manage these? Is it above the shoulders? Much of what differentiates good from very good from champion sportsmen often is. Has anyone heard (from reliable sources or from the horse's mouth) how he is approaching the off season / preseason? Positively? Working on his deficiencies which to my untrained eye seem to be both disposal and decision making / planning? Thanks for any informed input. To my mind his best is very good, ie B grade.

No Massive Goalsquare in 2019
I wanted it to go further - NO marks paid to the defensive team after a kick in from the goal rectangle (pedantic me can't callout a square because it isn't and never has been) until the ball clears the defensive 50. This would stop these dinky little time wasting chips and back and forth across the ground.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
With May now being touted as happy to go anywhere in Victoria, it is time for our team to lay down the final ultimatum to Freo - right now, give us two first rounder, and Brayshaw of Cerra, or GOGF right now. Deal or no deal. Maybe we should get President Trump to do our negotiating ??

Wasn't L Franklin's Sideney deal for 8 years?- Farewell Jesse Hogan
How about 6, 7, Brayshaw and Cerra? OK, I will be charitable and say 3 of 4.- Electrifying Aboriginal forwards
Maybe he has - we are pretty good at keeping cards close to the chest nowadays, most of the time.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
Somewhere between April and June?- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Which would put paid to the wanna go home reasoning. Similarities with Mitch ? who desperately wanted Perththen was lured my Melbourne $$$, broke his foot and headed off to another suitor.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
