If the AFL were serious, they could find some money to properly fund their Victorian feeder competition. It really compromises the quality and integrity of the competition. It would be a huge challenge for Harrison to play his second game vs Saints, after his poorly planned and very poorly managed debut last year. It could go either way - almost make or break. IF he played and had a solid game it could be the making of him; another bath could really hit his (and the club's and the fans') confidence. I would very much doubt (I hope) that the club would go into the game overconfident as they appeared to last year.

One rule I would consider to “make the game more attractive” and reduce congestion and negative tactics would be no major is paid for backward kicks in the back half, or more radically other than from inside forward 50.
