Round 10 Non MFC Games
Maggots having a huge influence on this game. Not one 50/50 that I have seen against Pies. That last deliberate would not have been paid against Pies.

Umpires hate Melbourne
Just watched the first half of $$ v Colonwood. Magpies getting an absolute ride since the start. Deliberate OOB paid to them in at best a 50/50, more like 20/80, yet straight after deep in $$ stack a blatant 90/10 against C nor paid. Holding the ball and incorrect disposals not paid. Horrible to watch. Incompetence would be my charitable spin on it .... other interpretations could be considered libellous.

Looking Forward 2020 & Beyond
May has yet to prove anything at Melbourne: hope he does but by all accounts he has shown a lack of commitment. ScoMo says “hi”! Maybe he should come down for a motivational talk and a lesson in self belief?

Has anybody actually set eyes on KK? Is he an illusion??

Mumford needs fixing up
Double standards would be the kindest way of saying what I think. Two sets of rules for the MRO. Mumford (GW$ key), Ablett, Dunderfield, vs Preuss standing his ground Definitely need Preuss in this week to support Max and to fix up Mummy’s boy.

Round 9 Non MFC Matches
FC even in the black and white TV era one could tell the difference between North Melbourne and Colonwood on a wet muddy day! This clash jumper stuff is all about AFL marketing (as is just about everything else AFL). Christian: "Mmmmm. Mumford. Looked bad, but who are GW$$$ playing next week?" Marketing team: "Melbourne" Christian: "Mmmm. He does have a record, doesn't he, so we will have to appear to do something. Mmmm. I know, a suspended sentence. Haven't tried that lurk for a while"

Goal kicking - is it the yips or something deeper
9 goals from 62 inside 50s says it all -- a mere 1 in 7 (14%) results in a goal. Raising the efficiency to even 20% would give us 12 goals, 25% would be 15 goals, close to the magic 100 points. 30% goes to a massive 18 goals. Surely the coaching / development / biomechanics / psychologists can see the bleeding obvious, but they need to admit there is a big problem before it can be addressed. What is the point in slaving away with fancy clearance drills when it all goes for tough? How about spending an entire session or two on this aspect of the game (or however many it takes) and as John Kanga Kennedy said - "do something!!"

Changes vs GW$ Giants
I thought after last time we played at Optus the powers that be would have realised that Fritsch is not a backman.

Oskar Baker
Didn’t he look (sadly) a bit like Ben Brown? Did some good things and will hopefully acclimatize to the pace.

POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs West Coast
Delivery into 50 played into their hands especially in the last quarter and a half, but execution inside 50 and goalkicking was and continues to be just appalling. Memo to Mr Goodwin: training this week for the miss and half backs must be lowering the eyes kicking into 50, and for the forwards bloody set shots. Don’t care about anything else. It has cost us tonight’s game and others and cost us any chance of finals again.

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Just a thought - I understand that the Elsternwick golf course is to be closed and used for "open space". It is right next to Elsternwick Park cnr Glenhuntly Road and Nepean Highway; close to Elsternwick station and also trams. Would that be worth at least exploring?
