I can understand how annoying it would be. They should let you turn it off with the red button.

I'm not sure why we kept Couch on if we weren't going to promote Magner to the senior list.
-
If they lose the whole bench to injury in the first quarter, the sub hurts himself in the second, the umpiring is outrageously tilted in our favour and we play out of our skins we're a chance.

I'd grow a beard in support, but somebody in the street might think I'm Tom Gillies and attack me.
-
Serves you right for having so many Essendon supporting friends.

What part of a gameplan do you need to understand in order to lay some [censored] tackles? Mentally deranged lunatics one and all.

He must be fairly confident they're not going to play like muppets again. Last year was an amazing display of football suicide.

Agree 100%, but the idea of him playing Uh oh razzamattaz amuses me.

A Calendar of Incompetency - Patrick Smith
Supermercado replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
No doubt everything is stuffed but some of the statements in that article are farcical... "Collingwood a drawn grand finalist in 2010 and one week later a 56-point premier." - Well fark me that's just REMARKABLE. "It scored only 1.4 after half-time against Port Adelaide (under Ken Hinkley, the club's third senior coach in a year)" - Really, I wondered what happened when you introduced a caretaker coach "The side has not finished higher than 13th since 2006 and has won just 32 of 133 games in that period. It has had five different coaches" - This Dean Kent is having trouble digesting the idea of a caretaker -
I volunteer to come and sit on reception the next time we have a fiasco as long as I'm allowed to argue with the callers.

A forward lead and somebody kick to their chest instead of relying on huge pack marks every time.

Seems to be a spelling mistake in that post.

We could call North Korea for advice on how to appear tough when actually standing on permanently shaky ground.

While we're discussing ex-MFC players $cully still has a punchable face. Also on the VFL I saw Addam Maric do one of the lowest percentage kicks coming out of defence in history for Werribee, so he's still alive too.

So he's a good bloke again? I'll need him to adopt a few kittens before I believe it.

It's certainly better than Mitch Clark's Ultratune ad or Jack Watts for Energy Watch (though it was hardly their fault that in both cases the other people in the ad were amongst the worst actors of all time) but any feeling that we're special quickly passed when it was revealed you can see almost exactly the same ad but with the Sydney Roosters and different opposition training venues in New South Wales.
-
I believe in him if he's interested in playing for us on a reasonable salary. No interest if he extorts us out of a fortune on the half chance that he'll have one or two top shelf seasons.

It would be good to see an AFL team dressing like Dexy's Midnight Runners.

NAB CHALLENGE: GOLD COAST SUNS v MELBOURNE
Supermercado replied to Gorgoroth's topic in Melbourne Demons
Is this all because it was Gold Coast? If we'd done the same against Hawthorn would everyone still be threatening self harm? Not that it makes it any better to do it against a team who finished below us last year (still makes it worse) but it's a practice match. If you thought we were going to make the finals you deserve to be let down. If you thought we were going to improve you may still be right, and if you're dying for us to be rubbish so you can go wild on forums maybe you'll get your chance too but we won't know for a few more weeks which way it's really going under proper match conditions. -
And why not, it's a lovely crop.

CONFIRMED: 5AA are broadcasting the game on Sunday
Supermercado replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
This can't end well, even the AFL website thought we had 'Mitch Colby' playing so presumably they'll just make it all up knowing that nobody's going to be able to call them on it. Watch out for one of our players who isn't even in the same state being named amongst the best players. -
'Blame' the AFL for scheduling the game in the middle of nowhere. Mind you it's not like Foxtel don't go to a lot of trouble broadcasting other matches of minor concern - there are A-League games which rate 50k.

Round 2 - 3 of our NAB Cup games not televised
Supermercado replied to ashdemons22's topic in Melbourne Demons
A live stream or at least a radio call would be nice, but I really don't expect that any game played in Renmark will ever get a run on TV. Was it Ballarat where they had that North game last year that Foxtel tried to broadcast and ended up delivering silence for the first quarter? No wonder they've decided it's not worth their while to go to the country.
