I'm all for team bonding, but seriously, that type of over the top nincompoopery should be reserved for after we make finals ?

Imagine the cost of the dental work required to fix his mouth up ?

All we need to do is worry about winning our own games, the rest will sort itself out.

Casey Demons v Northern Blues - Round 18
Demon Disciple replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think if you elect to rookie a player for a 3rd year, you then have to draft them onto the senior list the following year. -
Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 20

I think you'll find Pates, that it will be the younger guys trying to rev up the older blokes. Clarry and Gus won't be taking anything for granted, nor Maxxy (though he ain't a pup any more). -
Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 20

Goodwin's final message before the players' run out is to not think it is just going to happen, they need to make it happen. Maybe remind them that should we qualify for the finals, everyone needs to earn their position. -
Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 20
Demon Disciple replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
What i'm really looking for this round is for us to come out switched on and keep it up for 4 quarters. We showed up for the first 10 minutes against the Saints then hit the snooze button, and we all know what happened in round 23 last year (thinking it would just happen for us). This is our 'easier' game for the rest of the season, we need to be merciless, run ourselves into some good form for the final month and bank some more percentage. If this group truly mean business, this will get ugly for the Suns. -
Who do we realistically target for a trade?

He is a restricted free agent -
Is it possible that a wooden spooner could provide the Brownlow winner? Would be farcical if that happens. Though i would prefer Cripps to win it over 'plays for touches' Mitchell.

Agree Danelska, getting Ratten back on board would be of a massive benefit to our midfield. Wouldn't mind chasing Scarlett for the back-line, either.

At least it means that Tyson should be played in the only position he is not atrocious in. He is a capable inside mid, finds enough of the ball and gets to many a contest. His disposal is a concern (Viney's isn't elite mind you), but playing him in his natural position will help both Tyson and the team as a whole (none of this playing him on a wing or flank cr@p). Dom is purely an inside mid, luckily for him, there is a position in there that needs filling (you'd never play Jack on a wing or flank).

25k members for GWS. AFL must still be handing out free memberships to anyone that walks within proximity to Shitless Stadium.

Yes. Moore is way more versatile. -
2018 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

Great to see 2 Fish Creek boys in McGannon and Flanders named in the bests for the Power! -
As pointed out above, his positives outweigh his negatives. A Superstar he is not, not even a star. But he is an important cog, one who is crucified for his mistakes, but rarely commended for doing the 1%'s (i.e. his 2-way running). It is often said the quality and depth of a team is measured by their bottom 6. If we get to a stage where he is a constant member of this group, then we will be in a pretty good position.

Agree Smith is a dud. Just has no footy smarts, even with the ball coming to him.
-
Maybe enter Steven May? At the very least, it would allow Lever to truly play as the intercept defender. A backline of Frost and Oscar doesn't fill me with confidence.
-
Why not both? Surely with the power of 2 we could take down the tyranny that is the AFL!
-
I'd rather we keep the cash and give Clarry a 10-year mega deal.
-
Roos have more of a chance of landing him than the Saints. Stay and get a sh!tload of cash with a team in premiership window (WCE), leave and get sh!tloads with a team not in premierships window (Kangas/St.K), leave and get sh!tloads of cash with a team coming into a premiership window (MFC/Pies/etc). It will be option 1 or 3. Sorry aint's.
-
He just found his niche. If he is able to maintain the past couple of weeks efforts (or even improve in them given his inexperience at playing this role) he will become a mainstay in our team and add a third bow to his versatility (flanker, midfielder, tagger).

I like this release from JM. It's a none too subtle '[censored] off' to NM. And rightly so.

JKH should finally get the arse. The media should finally apply the blow torch on our player’s and coaching for losing the virtually unloseable. Maybe, and I’m being optimistic here, Goody might get the arse come year’s end for blatant coaching incompetence.

This club will be the death of me. I’m being serious. Repeat......this is not an overstatement. PS - send out a search warrant, Hogan has been missing for the past month.
