  1. The only reliable thing about us you can count on. Late goal strikes again.
  2. Coach should be gone by year’s end, if the board had any balls and brains.
  3. No doubt we lost in this trade, but would Kelly turn out as good if he was drafted to us?
  4. I'd consider Wagner very fortunate to get a contract renewal, as he is among the bottom number of players' at our club, clearly the FD see this differently, but IMO he was a candidate to de-list come years end. Harmes, well he plays his role, but he fails to inspire me, as he is among the first to go missing when things get tough. He is a depth player at most for mine (which we need).
  5. If we lose to Freo, i expect Goodwin to hand in his resignation. If not, i then expect for him to be sacked. No Joke.
  6. Would like to see PJ and Bartlett give Goodwin a massive spray.
  7. Season over. If Pert comes in and shakes up the joint i won't be upset. Even if we beat the Dockers next week (massive question marks now), we have to back up coming from Darwin in a week against a quick Doggies outfit. This might end up a 10-12 season, after going into the bye at 8-3. Only Melbourne FMD
  8. Tyson never again. Lewis is just in it for his super. Trade Weideman now, get whatever we can for him, he is next to useless. Petty given a game too early, but he has time.
  9. Goodwin cannot coach for peanuts. He's taken everything good that Roos instilled and thrown it out the window. The playing group thought they were September bound after the Bulldogs game and have been complacent ever since.
  10. Amazing how we were flying as of only 3 games ago. Talk about complacency from all player's and coaches. All were stuck in cruise control admiring their own work.
  11. We cannot defend a wide ground. A loss and our season is over. Sure umps have been poor, but christ, we have been so much worse. All coaches and players need to be put on notice, particularly Goodwin.
  12. Caro is just trying to get us back on track and get us up for a win this weekend. We always come out and play a good game after someone/thing at the club has been criticised during the week.
  13. If Trac wants to have serious time in the midfield he needs to drop a bit of weight (he's ripped, so that means a bit of muscle). He needs to be weighing in the low 90's/kgs at the most for him to be able to increase his stamina. Hogan is 10cm taller and only 4kg heavier and even he is not a permanent mid. TMAC is similar in size and weight as well. If we plan to use him more as a forward with short bursts in the middle, i'd still have him drop a little weight (just not as much to remain explosive and powerful), but if midfield is his goal, at least 5kgs needs to go.
  14. Just getting a pre-emptive jump on our next re-build. FMD.
  15. Couldn't agree more Bub. In this instance, it should be very much a case of what is best for the club, not what is best for the supporters.
  16. AFL has become far too bureaucratic, to the point where apart from the Dees, i simply couldn't give a stuff about the AFL. The local country footy league is way more enjoyable to go to nowadays, as it represents footy the way it was and should be, is way more inclusive and more fun in general. It has all become about generating money to the point where AFL is a business first, then daylight to football second. Sad really.
  17. Let's not forget that during the week, Richmond station is only accessible via the eastern end, as the western exit is closed. Distance from the southern exit of Richmond station to the likely location of our HQ for Gosch's (where the triangular patch of land is) is approx 500m. Distance from the northern exit of Richmond station to the proposed location of our HQ in Yarra Park would be approx 1 km. Crossing Punt Rd either way so busy roads is inconsequential. Yarra Park is very much apart of the MCG surrounds, whereas Gosch's is rather separate. Clearly the club wants to be as close as possible to our home (MCG), the difference of being an extra 500m in distance to be in closer proximity would probably be very acceptable. I'd rather be closer to the Tiger's Punt Rd facility (which we shared during the second world war) than the Pies base. Similar to the old MCC members stand days, where the Dees and Tigers had change rooms side-by-side coming out of the MCC, with the other's coming out of the southern stand rooms.
  18. Look at the Blues, Cats, Essendon, Hawks at both Waverly and what will be Dingley. These are relatively big clubs (bigger than ours), and none of their training bases is anywhere near as remotely close to major public transport hubs as the Jolimont site.
  19. Our season needs to get back on track (which given our next 3 games i think it should - but we'd still be no closer to knowing if we can play well against the better teams), but it is not at the point where it needs saving. If we beat the Saints, Freo, Dogs, Suns and get a win against one or two of Geelong, Swans, Crows (we play AO quite well) and Giants, then we should make the 8. It just depends on where this playing group wants to land in the 8. All is not lost, still plenty of footy yet to be played.
  20. I don't care how rough a deal we've had with the umps. no goals in 24 minutes when the game was on the line is inexcusable
  21. 20 minutes without a goal. Umpiring aside, do we want to win this game?
  22. [censored] the umpires. Just go in and get the ball.
  23. Good to see another quarter where we come out and forget where the goals are.
