  1. yeah, yeah.......................................no. Lets not forget that between 2001-2006, all premierships were won by interstate teams. The way it works now is fine, the GF is virtually a neutral game given the amount of impartial corporates and neutral supporters that attend. The MCG is by far and away the biggest ground in the country, so logic implies it should be held there. It's the way it's always been and it works, if interstate teams don't like it they should've considered not entering to competition. The beauty of the GF is that no matter how good the team has been all year, they still need to turn up on the day and prove their mettle.
  2. I love your optimism and wish i shared it, but i think it'll be closer to 20 points.
  3. Cou'dn't have said it any better myself, ProperDee. He isn't a contested marking beast, he is most damaging out on a lead. Block the space and intercept the incoming ball. Time for Lever to show us why we paid him the big $.
  4. really? I've been following this team for over 20 years and i'm still finding it hard to understand how they play.
  5. He really got onto one against the Crows just on halftime up in Alice last year.
  6. Is currently heading the list of delistings, hope he gets a decent run before the end of the year to try and show something
  7. Another game, another massive loss in concentration. Goody isn’t getting his message through
  8. Goodwin has been given everything on a platter SWYL. He just isn’t up to it. We still have many hangers on, 12th year into a re-build, FMD
  9. Who cares what Goodwin does, he is simply not up to it.
  10. Agreed. His good games are good (not great), but his bad games are really bad. Bailey started out well in the first half, but completely vanished in the second, Hannan was unsighted in the first half, and did a few things in the second. Simply put, our forward line let them walk it out way too easily and didn't put on any defensive pressure running the other way.
  11. Come back to reality ding, not on today's performance.
  12. That is damning. Gotta find another avenue to goal when Hoges is up the ground.
  13. Jury is still very much out on Goodwin's coaching ability. How does he allow these continual lapses in effort? Whatever he's trying to get them to do is not working good enough for long enough.
  14. Thought he had a better overall game, and loved his toughness today Bernie. Lewis started having an impact when he was moved to being the sweeper in defence. Lever needs to learn how to better play on his direct opponent. They exploited the cr@p out of him today.
  15. Well there is a position there for him if he wants it. Thought Hogan was half decent when he went into the middle, he just creates such a huge hole in the forward line when it happens though. TMAC out for a while, time for Sam to step up, even if he is carrying a little niggle. Be the dictator, not the dictated.
  16. Umm no. We got the rub of the green today. What is it with some MFC supporters always blaming the umpires? I thought the umpiring standard was sub-par, but we got the better of their poor deliberating today.
  17. To be fair, that kick didn't go 15, so he played on not to get caught. At the end of the day, 3/4 of decent football doesn't cut it. We still haven't learned anything by our fade outs last year (astounding given it cost us a place in the finals). No point looking over all the singular moments that could've changed the result, it was Gawn's to win and he couldn't handle finishing it off. No point taking the great grab if you can't kick it from 30 out directly in front.
  18. Gawn was such a dumbass. He took wayyyyyyyyyyy too long. You got to kick the goal first before thinking about saving the game. Still, he should've kicked the bloody goal. Puck.
  19. If Jetta is Menzel's direct opponent, he is too small for him.
  20. Keep watching Pates, otherwise i will hold you accountable for our second quarter debacle.
  21. He was one of very few actually trying to make something happen in the first half, most were too lazy to man up. At least he was putting in 100% of the time. Sure he pharked up several times, but his work ethic cannot be questioned.
