My recruiting mate (for another club) rated Harmes highly at draft time. He saw something in him. I've hoped he would progress.

Interesting to think we haven't got many injuries but 5 of the 6 would arguably walk straight into the side. A quarter of the team. Kent, Viney and Jetta were in the best prior to being injured. Hopefully Viney and Jetta are back next week.

Love to get Tom Lynch but don't see it happening.

While its a great effort I honestly couldn't be less interested.

Keath played both football and cricket at the highest level as a junior. Played for Australia (u19) and TAC Cup, not sure if he played U18 Championship. He was drafted by Gold Coast but then chose to play cricket. Hasn't been offered a contract wih Australian cricket and rumour has it he may look to go back to football. 23 years old but hasn't played footy for 5 years.

Old chestnut - continues to divide and torment many

Just read the plan for the ANZAC Eve Match on Friday night. Sounds like it's pretty well planned. Should be fitting tribute as long as the game is up to scratch. -
I won't be watching this game. I'm very afraid...

Its now time to finish off the T$cully thread
hells bells replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
I still have an unnatural wish for a melbourne player to take an 8 week suspension and just flat out smash him in the face. Can't excuse it or justify it, but it's still there. -
THE DRUG SCANDAL: AFL TRIBUNAL DECIDES
hells bells replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
King this has been my gut feel the whole time, by the time and charges and suspensions are given, if WADA decide to appeal, most of the list will have changed and the football will carry on without major interruption. As you say there is a long game view going on here, it feels like the whole thing's been scripted from the start. -
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give Customs House a go first as I know it from previous trips. Thanks again. Hells

G'Day Demonlanders, I'm going to be in Hobart this weekend and wondered if any locals could recommend a good pub to watch the game. Ideally in the city, Salamanca or Battery Point area. Thanks, Hells

Intra Club - Thursday 19 February 2015 at Casey Fields @ 3pm
hells bells replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Intraclub matches are perfect for Melbourne supporters with MFCSS. If the forwards dominate we can safely assume that the backline is not up to AFL standard. If the backline dominate we can safely assume that the forwards are going be a weakness. It’s a perfect Lose-Lose situation. -
It might have been the 2nd or 3rd premiership, but it was definitely a premiership with Goodwin as coach.
-
When I heard the news I instantly had a vision of Jones and Goodwin holding up a premiership cup. I hope it's an accurate premonition. Good on you Jonesy.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MITCHELL WHITE
hells bells replied to The Red Fox's topic in Melbourne Demons
Taken from bigfooty as posted by DMoore30. ⬇️ I know a small portion of the White family and Mitch played for the same junior club as I. With good knowledge I can confirm that for his size he is a competitive kid, was a big goal kicking CHF as a junior but turned to a defender when he got selected to sting rays and Vic country, he won the FDJFL (league) best and fairest in under 15's and was a multiple best and fairest winner in a side that won 3 premierships in a row in the top division. Mitch played in the same side as Jack Lonie and Rourke Fischer, a massive kick of the footy and very athletic. Mitch was also involved in a cricket squad which went to England to tour. Multi-talented and is up for the challenge, good get for the dee's, a versitile player who can play both ends. Edit: Due to his physical strength and abilities it wouldn't surprise me if he was recruited as a big bodied midfielder. He was always an athletic foward in juniors and a versatile defender in Sting-Rays. Has the capability to become a damaging midfielder. He had a game at Fullback for Vic Country against WA in which he gathered 20 odd disposals and was damaging, one of the best on the field. -
