I was expecting more than 16. It seems like every second week the rising star nominee comes from our opposition.

For some unknown reason I have a good feeling about this week. And boy wouldn't it be sweet to kick the Blues while they are under the pump!!!

I've been a big Grimes fan for a long time but yesterday was the worst game I've ever seen him play.

I think if we get 6 goals from the forward line and 8 goals from the mids. It won't be a bad result. We Won't win, but the scoreline will be respectable. I can't see us doing any better than that at the moment.

I got the impression he'd be available to play AFL next week, which made me wonder why not this week. If he's not going to play a match this week and then come in next week, what is the difference. He is either ready or he's not. I don't understand why Garland has to play a VFL game before coming into the side. He's a senior player. Why not play him off the bench this week. God knows with the Eagles firepower he'd be handy.

I thought I saw this as well during the telecast and thought I was seeing things and being paranoid.

I think Howe got a knock early too, so may have been under duress. But he didn't have a great game. Positives for me: Watts N jones Tyson Toumpas Vince Georgiou I thought Grimes was pretty good but I see some have given him a spray.

Sometimes I seriously wonder if there is a curse on this club. Tonight is just another occaision. So many get table shots for goal. They pong them from everywhere. Our only key tall forward gets knocked out. Our best defender for their best forward is lame. I could go on. Having said that. Pederson is an absolute liability.

I really like the logo but I think if they got rid of the footy at the front and the italic rules in the background it would be better. I also don't have a problem with the blazer. Most Olympic sports teams wear one. But if the buggier is back this year I'll vomit.

For some reason I really rate him. I'd have him before Bail, Nicholson, Barry, Byrnes. If he could stitch half a dozen good games together I think his confidence would improve and he could go up a level performance wise.

Anyone think Garland might be a chance to play forward when he comes back. If Georgiou does well. Might be a good option if the Hogan and Dawes injuries linger.

Excellent reports guys. Some positives and negatives. Certainly not dreading the upcoming season which is a good feeling.
