  1. That is just a real bad decision.
  2. He can't stay on the list, the issues Adelaide have faced over the last couple of years they need to dump this guy.
  3. If the AFL want to expand any further they will need to head down an NFL divisional and conference system. You play your teams in your Div twice and everyone else once, 23 games in a season. The Victorian teams make up 1 conference the others sides another. Eastern St Kilda/Hawthorn/Melbourne/Richmond/Collingwood South North/Bulldogs/Geelong/Carlton/Essendon North Bne/GC/Syd/GWS/Tassie West WCE/Freo/Adl/Port/NT
  4. Is there a chance we don't leave WA. We play Adelaide there next week and then Geelong the week after. Lions V WCE changed to WA in R23 means 5 of the top 8 are already in WA, Dogs V Port R23 moved into Adelaide, the only club left is Sydney if the top 8 stays as it is now. No chance finals in Victoria will be all in WA and SA in front of full stadiums
  5. He is doing his job on the wing wouldn't say he is dominating he is very hot and cold. It is the only spot for him to play in the side. Not sure what has happened but our coaches don't see him in the centre Square Mids. I'm with you I thought he was an amazing clearance player, like the rest of our mids at the time his disposal by foot is extremely poor and defensively he was a one way runner. He has shown on the wing he is still Kicking poor but at least he runs hard defensively. This third mid is a problem, we need a bit of class in there to compliment the grunt. Really need a mid that can get it and kick it well. I just don't see that player on our list at the moment.
  6. Yep, WCE would be a mile on top and I reckon Adelaide would be next. For WCE it is like you are on the wait list for the MCC, you need to take out a membership each year to get on a wait list for a seat to be vacated.
  7. Just replace HFF with Midfielder as nearly every club pushes the HFF into the mids. Move FP to High forwards. The back 6 and mids haven't changed that much, how they play is a bit different but the role is similar.
  8. I think it is more important to improve the ball going into our forward line. We need to get a highly skilled mid, I still believe that Brayshaw is our most tradable player to get this. If the right player was there an outside mid that can get it and kick it well, Brayshaw can help make the deal.
  9. Journo's like Ralph need to make stupid comments that create backlash to keep them relevant. If they don't they lose their job. He cops a fine or 1 week
  10. Maybe we can share it, hire some excavators, get the Chain saw out, knock over the project over for half a mill and keep the rest
  11. Jeez 3 mill doesn't go to far these days
  12. I wonder if a full pay out means he can be put on Garden leave from coaching for a year
  13. And the get to add Darcy as FS this year that is tipped to be top 5-10. Means you can trade off first round pick as long as you have enough points to cover.
  14. It is pretty simple especially in a game where you have complete dominance in the Ruck. We play the same as the bulldogs pushing additional numbers to the contest. There are a number of examples where Max was smashing the ball forward or even taking clean possession of the ball, this is premediated action that it seemed Max was on his own page and no one else knew what he was doing. I am extremely critical of our ruck work as there seems to be little to no communication, Max is very easy to read his go to tap is dropping it behind at both centre and general play stoppages, boundary throw ins it is a drop to defensive side. You watch opposition midfields create a circle around us, once the ball gets 1-2m outside the contest if we don't have clean possession we get done. We play an in close contested brand if the ball gets to the outside we are stuffed. You would have seen against the dogs we continue to push forwards to the contest to try and out number the dogs, that is why we saw Pickett, Spargo so high up the ground, ANB always plays this role. It is also why it seems we never have small forwards front and square inside our 50m arc, they have to work so hard to get back. That's about as deep as I get
  15. What a terrible set up, I bet Max just dropped the ball either straight down or backwards, the better option considering his hit out dominance would have been wide to Langdon or Hunt not sure which one it is boundary side with no player with in 10m of him. That picture really sums up our mids, they all want the ball and get in each others way. Look at the dogs a real spread almost like a rugby style line.
  16. and we had something like 50 more hit outs, just shows that hit outs aren't that important
  17. You just get T McDonald to ruck for 5 mins a qtr. You don't need a second ruck, look at last week, the bulldogs basically had no hit outs and won the clearances. I just think playing Jackson in the form he is in basically is us playing with 21 men. Mix up the forward line with a bloke that can kick goals and hit targets. You need to drop players who are severly out of form
  18. More Jackson, the bloke is out of form, really thought Melksham should have come on for him
  19. Don't get this, happy for Bowey and Sparrow, but this really doesn't address our forward line issues
  20. To get Cerra we would need to off load Brayshaw, that opens up some space. The big question would be more does fremantle accept brayshaw and a mid 30s pick for Cerra
  21. It is the same reason why we played finals and didn't play finals in 2019/20, one player we need to fire isn't at the moment and the start of the year he was. He makes us dangerous up forward and when full of confidence doesn't miss goals, when he plays well so do we are we are a different side. I have notice over the past 6-8 weeks we seems to spend a lot of time complaining to the umpires. To simplify our problems, we need T McDonald firing, he doesn't fire we struggle. Backline is strong, mids can't kick but get enough of the ball forward we need Tom working with Ben kicking his 2-3 goals a week
  22. We need to try something different, the past 6 weeks we seem flat, robotic and most players just can't kick. Jones and M Brown have been injured not sure when their last game of footy was, bringing in Melksham is a no brainer he is better option than Harmes. The other option with a bit of X factor about him is Smith as a forward for Jackson with TMac playing that second ruck role.
  23. Thanks, my point is you don't need a lot of touches to impact a game. You can't expect a Bedford or Chandler to come in and get 18-24 touches, get that 10-14 lay some inside 50m tackles, hit their targets with the ball they get and hopefully hit the scoreboard. We just need to add another forward that will help keep the ball inside 50 and put opposition defenders under pressure.
  24. Pickett gets the ball about 8 times a match, puts forward pressure on and kicks goals, Spargo gets it a bit more 10-14 times a game but each time he kicks it into our forward 50m arc I think that stat was we score 75% of the time ranked 2nd in the AFL. Can Bedford or Chandler do a the same 10-15 touches forward pressure and help impact the scoreboard either off their own boot or setting up a score. To me we are looking very robotic in the way we play no real dare or flare, it is almost like we play safe all the time rather than taking the game on, that to me has been to biggest change in our game.
