Farewell Jesse Hogan
As long as we keep a first round pick for next years draft we are ok. So if we get freos future pick we can keep or trade 1 future first round pick

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I reckon if we were trading Hogan, Cam Pederson would have been offered another year on his contract
-
Josh Kelly
It's a shame that North's salary cap will be busting at the seems after they pay massive overs for Gaff/Polac/Hall this season

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Trading is simple, if your club will benefit from the trade you need to have a serious look at it. I'm not for trading Hogan, key forwards are pretty rare but if Fremantle are silly enough to offer two picks inside the top 10 for him and he is willing to go it needs to be considered if you have a May lined up with the deal and a spare first round pick that could be offered to GWS for a Whitfield/Kelly. Adding May and one of those two GWS players this deal would be done in a heartbeat

It's going to be a long month

Welcome to Demonland Toby Bedford
No we don't need to nominate him. A club can select him in the draft and we have the option to select them. Example say a club picks him at pick 35, each pick has an allocated point value we need to give up our next pick and make up any left over points from other picks. We hope that no club picks him till after our second pick in the draft and he cost us a couple of late picks

2019 Membership
From memory Trident and Redleg members get priority access to Grand Final tickets as part of their membership, Don't know the number but at a guess 5-10,000 members would be in these two packages. So the balance would be allocated to GFG and any spare would be first in basis

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
What community benefit can you have by spending more money on Punt Rd and Geelong. Hats off the Collingwood you drive past their facility and the general public are using it. Even the Goshes paddock the rugby/soccer and our oval people are always using it.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
You have Bradtke coming onto the list 205cm I reckon will get to the 208-210cm as our developing ruckman

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
The basic fact is we don't have a second true Ruckman on our list capable of playing AFL, Casey showed that yesterday. We can't relay on Max to be fit for the entire 2019 season and need someone that can give him a rest.

2019 best 22 and depth chart
Pretty embarrassing on the posters or on the players. Jones looks totally lost playing on the wing and isn't in the best 4-5 mids to run through the middle. Lewis great with ball in hand but defensively is terrible. Leg speed and kicking skills. Must admit bit worried about 2019, I reckon it could be a bit like 1998 to 1999, we will go backwards to go forward. Richmond will get Lynch, Geelong Dalhouse and Rohen, North Polac, Gaff and the Hall, Collingwood will get May so the sides around us will get better by adding missing links, really we need to players North are getting

2019 best 22 and depth chart
We need players who can kick the football well. Time for Salem to step up and get into our midfield. Spargo, great first year we only get a lot better can't kick far but can hit targets. Jetta Frost Lever Hibberd Omac Hunt Salem Viney Harmes Petracca Tmac Melksham Weiderman Hogan Garlett Gawn Oliver Brayshaw Spargo, Fritsch, AVB, Kent To me that side based on current players gives some balance between grunt and speed

Good, if North want to pay him 1mil+ per season they are stupid he is a wing man that clubs don't tag and when they do he goes missing, he will improve your side but not to the point where he will have a massive effect on the result. Would rather save the coin and have a red hot crack at Kelly next season, this guy has super star midfielder written all over him

2018 Contracts and List Details
Didn't we also sign a cricketer as a Cat B rookie

Farewell Jesse Hogan
The game moves and the AFL is looking at ways to get it back looking like it was 20 years ago with 6 6 and 6 set ups. Hogan and McDonald are endurance beasts, you will need these guys going forward as hit up forwards to transition the ball from back to forward. They will work hard up and back, I see Weiderman as more of a marking inside 50m forward. I have no issues with the three in the same side three blokes around 196cm that are mobile and play different styles of games. Would love to be in Spargo's shoes over the next 5 years they will either mark it or bring to ground.

Yep, their justification was that kids from a Multi-cultural or indigenous background didn't have the same opportunity to play the game and develop. Load of political hog wash, it kept the southern clubs happy as they got something and the AFL didn't want to go back to the full on Zones the once had.

Welcome to Demonland Toby Bedford
The next Generation academy's are a little different for the southern clubs. Clubs outside NSW and Qld teams only have priority access in the drafts to indigenous and kids with a parent born overseas. The Qld and NSW teams have priority access to all kids in their academy's. It is an unfair structure not only to the clubs but also to kids that don't fit into those 2 categories. I'm involved in a Junior Club that is in another AFL clubs region, we had kids miss out on getting selected into the NGA that are absolute guns and deserve the opportunity to be a part of the program and we had kids that couldn't get a kick in a stampede get selected because of their multi cultured back ground.

Was he falling over?
- Sam Weideman

Andrew Gaff
Gaff isn't a match winner, he isn't a key position player he sits out on the fringe of the contest and can use the ball well. If he nominates us he should come as a free agent only no kicker back to West Coast. I don't mind Dom Sheed as well, has struggled a bit this year but looked good on Sunday
-
Andrew Gaff
West Coast don't need Kent, they have a couple of handy small forwards

2018 Membership Thread
I reckon the losses against Hawthorn and Collingwood hurt us more, not the fact we lost the way we played I reckon put a few likely people back on the bench and St Kilda loss was the sealer. Would be talking about 1000-1500 members extra. If we can take that next step on field 50K is achievable next season. Next 5 weeks mean so much to our club

Darwin game dumped

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Pavlich was on so much money outside of football in WA, he was everywhere and Hogan would get the same in WA. Which to me might be one reason he does stay, going back to Perth everyone will want him, he doesn't strike me as a media type of guy and would rather surf with his mates than do this. WA is a fish bowl, it really can break good players

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Nasher, unlike a lot of others on this site, I don't see Hogan as the be all end all type. Would love to see him play at Melbourne for the next 8 odd years but any doubt we need to do what is best for the club. We wouldn't be able to match the Fremantle offer, lets not kid ourselves on that. To me if there is any risk trade him on our terms and not risk getting a buddy like pick that Hawthorn received.
