Yep, throw a pick in

I'm still on the offer up Brayshaw for Cerra. The wage wouldn't be to much different. I just see Brayshaw as a player that has some value that we can cover with others on the list. He would slot into the centre square next to his brother and Serong at Fremantle and Cerra would slot nicely onto a wing for us.

Strict guidelines will be, we want the finals from 2nd week. I reckon the AFL will have the week off after first week of the finals to allow all the 6 clubs left to get into WA to quarantine. They will be resigned to the fact that there will be games next week with no crowds, expect Essendon and GWS to head into Brisbane and AFL will be hoping Port and Geelong finish top 2.
-
With no WA sides in finals this is will be a neutral venue. The big concern for clubs will be if you are allowed crowds in Geelong/Adelaide will they get finals in the first week regardless of ladder position

The game felt like we got a lead took the foot off the throttle, they came back we increased our effort until we broke them in the last qtr. How good is it having Bowey and Salem playing off Half Back, they seem to wax a bit, Bowey just looks to have a lot of time and makes really good decisions, not a bad time to break in the team and play well. I reckon the big correction in the last half was our players stopped kicking the ball to Brown and I think Brown lead to pockets drawing out 1-2 players opening up space for Fritsch. To me Fritsch has struggled a bit with Brown in the side, they seem to lead to the same spots, the last half though it clicked. Helps when you have mids hitting you lace out.

I thought he was our best defender in the first half. Got the hibberd hit and went missing after that but showed enough
-
Really hard to vote First half you have Smith, Brown, Salem, Bowey and Langdon Second half you have Fritsch, Petracca, Jackson, Spargo and Gawn
-
Unless you are an WA member.

And Harmes, needs a job if he doesn't have one is lost. I thought Sparrow was ok, gets his hands on it.

I can't remember a time when this guy was able to get a real go injury free run. He is a bloke that can play mid size or tall forward or back. Just hope he can get 18months injury free to show us if he can play.

Do we know if AFL clubs are running matches like they did last year in QLD. Big advantage for Port and WCE come finals with most of the final 8 sides not getting any game time into fringe and players returning from injury.

The AFL doesn't have an endless pit of Money. GWS and GC costs a bomb, AFLW will be costing a bomb and now with the expansion this is going to cost the AFL a lot of coin. Wait a couple of seasons when the AFLW players push for pro-rata the same amount of money as the men, lets say the AFLW season is 50% length and time as AFL men, that will mean about 5mil per side salary cap. Expansion isn't always in the best financial interest of the competition.

I can see North playing 6-8 home games in Tassie, with the same amount of away games guarantee for Melbourne. Lets say 8 games in Tassie, means 3 home games in Vic plus 8 away games total of 11 games in Vic. This is the type of incentive they will need to offer to get a team to initially play more games in Tassie. If you are North you would take this means your Vic members still get 11 games and Tassie gets 8 games a season.

Hard to break into a side when you had been injured and no real games to play. He will be the hardest trainer out there each week because that is the bloke he is, emotion won't come into this. I can't see him breaking in, Viney is the next Mid that comes in and TMac comes in. Jones in a down the list a bit at the moment, going to need some amazing form or a lot of injuries for him to get a game.

In Hibberd, Weiderman(if Tom isn't Fit) Out Hunt, AVB Sparrow Sub It is about structure. If we are planning on using 3 tall forwards in the finals we need to play 3 forwards this week.
-
I hope Petty can take May's spot in 2-3 years and continue on with Lever down back. We have Fritsch and Weiderman I think both are around 24 years old, I haven't given up on Weiderman just needs to stay healthy through pre-season
-
The Dogs will add Darcy to their list this year as FS that will give them 3 young key forwards with Naughton. This is the only area we don't have any real young talent
-
Its pretty simple, beat Adelaide and get ready for Geelong which will be Saturday night the following week.

MFC player racially abused on social media - club statement
drdrake replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
They are happy to cheer on their Aboriginal players that win games for their club but they make stupid racial based comments against others. -
Love the way he plays, old fashion footballer that makes you earn every free kick. His Barrell in the last was a monster. He was cooked like all his team mates. He is the only Eagle mid that really applies consistent pressure Kelly, Gaff, Sheed, Redden, Nic Nat are good on their terms but don't run to hard defensively.
-
I think we saw our squad running after the game last night. Daw, Weiderman, Smith, Viney, Chandler, Hibberd along with the 23 that played and TMac. Jones will be training his [censored] off to ensure he is ready should he get the call up but with no VFL it really makes it hard. I'm assuming we are having scratch matches with other AFL clubs like we did last year to keep the players that miss out match fit.

WCE fans are a strange breed. You find most that attend the games are your arm chair football supporters that have had a reserve seat for 20 years. They don't really understand the rules and work off the WCE rule book not AFL. Most will be from the richer suburbs in WA, followed Subiaco or Claremont in the WAFL and look down at most people. The working class in WA are Fremantle supporters, god help us if they every become any good.

You have to be impressed with the youth in our side. They will have up and down games but Jackson, Pickett, Rivers, Jordon, Bowey, Petty, Spargo and I like Sparrow he looks like he just needs a good run at it. I was all for Jackson to be dropped a couple of weeks back, lucky I'm not on the match committee, his form was terrible but he turned it around over past 2 weeks. It was him that turned the tide in the 3rd qtr he was jumping all over Nic Nat. When the lighting stop happened our 2 rucks had 28 touches between them, WCE 2 rucks had 8, it ended up 35 to 14. On Harmes, he is a better player when he has a job, he needs someone to take him to the football and he has the ability to win the ball once there. I think he played mostly on Kelly and Kelly showed him no respect when we had the footy. When he doesn't have a job I reckon he gets lost on the field. He kicked the ball the best he ever has last night which helps. On WCE they are busting at the seams in regards to salary cap and they are very close to falling off the cliff. They were cooked in the last quarter prior to the delay. After the delay as per most posters, all it would have taken is a goal straight after the break and this would have been a 50 point game. We gave these front runners a sniff, we tried to manage the win, they took the game on.
-
I think it is whoever in front when they stop the game not who is in front at half time. You need to start the 3rd qtr for it to be a result
-
I know is most footy comps the rule is if the game is called off after half time the team in front is awarded the win
