Can we read anything into the fact that both Hertz and NT Travel were predominant on the backdrop for yesterday's Press Conference?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BERNIE VINCE
Vagg replied to Ted Lasso's topic in Melbourne Demons
Bottom line seems to be that Bernie no longer felt wanted at the Crows. He's wanted at the Dees. Their loss is our gain. Stick it up 'em, Bernie, in the best possible way -- with some scintillating, match-winning performances for the Dees! -
You speak for all of us Queenslanders on that one...!
-
Yeah, 55, I've wondered about that inconsistency for years. Kinda funny, really. How hard is it?
-
Bummer!!
-
Because they'd have to wear their predominantly white clash jumper! Oh! I forgot. They don't have one...! LOL

VERY disappointed in this. Alas, Col was another of the passing parade who teased us, year in, year out, just like Tavis Johnstone. High draft picks, oozing with natural talent, but who only rarely showed us what they were really capable of. Now, after 10 years of hoping maybe he'll finally deliver "next year", he's gone! Really thought he could have been a big part in the rebuild under Roos. Ah, well, if personal glory somewhere else is more important than loyalty to the Club that put up with his10 years of pretty frequent nonsense, so be it. See ya later! Just hope we get reasonable compensation for him, and whoever it ends up being becomes a star at the MFC as we rise up the ladder. Go Dees!!

I must say that I was impressed to see Grimesy come out and openly declare he wants to continue as Captain. He could so easily have taken the wimpish line of "I'm happy to do whatever the Coach says". Shows he has some pluck, and is prepared to stand up and be counted. An excellent trait of a leader. Well done, Jack!

Sorry to hear it, Neale. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

I agree with you. I was a little disappointed with the way Paul answered that question. Given the superb way Craigy has conducted himself these past few weeks, I kinda thought the answer was just a little insensitive. But, then again, Craigy would probably just shrug it off, and move on, the class act that he is. Just hope he picks up a position that he will be happy with. I have to say it's disappointing to think it probably won't be with the MFC...

And yesterday, both Carlton and Richmond got away with wearing their dark strips! Carlton had the white shorts, so were presumably the "away" team. Where was their white jumper?? The AFL is a joke...!!
-
Ah, Yes! The humble hyphen makes a WORLD of difference! LOL
-
I'm thinking add him to our midfield...!
-
Maybe he was just voicing the hopes and dreams of all of us poor, pathetic, ever hopeful Dees supporters...!

On AFL 360 tonight, Gerard's "Sure Thing" for this weekend is that Sunday will be "The last day of a Dismal Demon Era". Man, do we ever hope that proves to be true, and we come out in 2014 a rejuvenated and exciting outfit! Here's to 2014 and beyond...!!

As a couple of others have suggested, Jimmy's slogan is the best -- WHATEVER IT TAKES. My only question is: How come those Essendon ratbags have stolen it? Seems they use it as part of their Press Conference back-drop. Absolute cheek, if you ask me!!!
-
According to the Coach, that was purely down to the lack of discipline of our players...
-
Congratulations, Colin! You've been a shining light during a dark part of our history. Have a great 100th game (celebrated with a win, of course!), and here's to a continued, fine career with the Dees!
-
Well done, Flash! Thanks for the memories!
-
Thanks for always giving 100% to the MFC, Joel. All the best for the future.
-
Maybe I missed something. But, when was Craig ever Neeld's assistant...?
-
I could be offended by that comment! LOL

Attended the pre-match function yesterday arvo at Emerald Lakes Golf Club. Really good attendance, and an enjoyable event. Robbo was MC, and Todd Viney, Josh Mahoney, James Frawley & Travis Johnstone all said a few words. Good venue, good meals, and surrounded by the red & blue faithful. A nice build up prior to wandering across the road to Metricon to see the Dees hopefully maintain their unbeaten record at Metricon. Alas, that wasn't to be. But, just wanted to acknowledge DemonDeb for her part in bringing the event together. Well done, Deb! And thanks!
