2026 AFL Fixture
Thanks, MTB! I hate the formats available on-line. Your version is in a nice, neat format that can be printed out and stuck on the wall. Much appreciated!

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Hmm. The way I read it, he wants out. So, if that's the case, and we are happy about that, Contract is voided. End of story! If he doesn't want a lower wage, he stays at Melb & honours his Contract. But, as others have said, seems the Club wants rid of him at ANY cost. So be it...

Farewell Clayton Oliver
So, I just reckon this whole thing of Player Contracts is a farce. I reckon that, if both Club and player agree it's best for the player to move on, then that means both parties agree to cancel the Contract. This would therefore mean that there is NO on-going commitment to pay part of the player's salary at his new Club. The Contract is dead and buried, and the player then negotiates a new contract with his new Club. All liability on the former club is then ceased. But, what would I know?!!

Farewell Clayton Oliver
I'm sorry, but I still don't get it. Would the MFC really part with Clarry for just a future 3rd round pick?? And, then still have to pay half is salary??!! Maybe it's just me, but if done, that has to be the insanest trade deal in history! (Especially if we get picks 7 & 8 for Trac...!)

CASEY: Elimination Final vs Williamstown
In fact, the new Gov't legislation will probably ban anyone under the age of 65 from accessing this site (for their own good!)

VALE BRIAN DIXON
One of my all time favourite players! Very sad to hear of his passing. Condolences to his wife and family. Gone, but not forgotten!

Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
Yes, he and his great mate Stretch Jnr were drafted together. I had great hopes that Stretch Jnr would follow in his Dad's footsteps. Alas, was not to be. But, Nibbler hung in there, and became the great servant that he is. Will be missed.

PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Port Adelaide
ABSOLUTELY!!!! I've always said there are two things in footy that make me happy. One is Melb winning. The other is Coll'wood losing. And, if it happens in the same match, I'm over the moon. Now, if it ALSO keeps 'em outa the finals, well that would REALLY make the end of the season sweet!

Next AFL Shafting
LOL. Wasn't that mooted at the time of looking to set up the new GC team? Was talk of that being a Nth relocation. At the time, they had dispensed with the name "Nth Melb", and just wanted to be called "The Kangaroos". When talk turned serious about the relocation, they suddenly "rediscovered" their Nth Melb identity!

NON-MFC: Round 03
What's with the outfits these two teams are wearing?? If they'd both just worn their traditional jumpers, there would be no clash! I just don't get it! Aren't the teams proud of their jumpers any more??

Welcome Back to Demonland Marty Hore
FB, I'm not sure how your comment is an answer to my question. If anything, doesn't it just reinforce my question? (I know I must be missing something, just don't know what it is...)

Melksham set to play on in 2024
I'm certainly not up with all the rules. But, I was kinda surprised Melksham wasn't just put straight on to the long-term injured list, rather than delisting him and then adding him to Rookie list.

2024 Fixture
WCW, please tell your friend she is the BEST!! Finding a nice, single line per game fixture is virtually impossible to find these days. I usually have to make my own. This saves a LOT of work!! Cheers!

2024 Fixture
Hey, WCW, is there any way of getting this version of the Dees Fixture without the red highlighting? Would be very grateful if you can provide. many thanks!

Max Gawn's 200th
I recall, back when Goldstein was far and away the best Ruckman in the League, Max made the statement that he wanted to be as good as Goldstein (or words to that effect). At the time, I thought yep, that's a nice thing to aspire to, not really, deep down, believing he would ever achieve it, and kinda thinking he was just biting off a bit more than he could chew. At the time, he was just an average Ruckman, and to effectively say you were gonna become the best was a stretch too far. Guess what! He did it. And, then, he just kept on getting better & better & better! From where he came from, with his slack training, poor habits and knee recos, what he has achieved is truly remarkable, and he deserves all the plaudits that he gets! Well done Maxie!!

TRAINING: Tuesday 6th June, 2023.
Pretty sure Goody said in a Presser that he was just being managed, and that he'll definitely be back next game. Think he also said that, given his age, Hibbo will be managed this way for the rest of the year...
