  1. Todd Viney met with Scott Clayton today. Not sure what about, but they met.
  2. I've watched for 20 years, and I don't say it lightly. It's not his talent I'm lambasting, it's his attitude, shocking, not sure what has happened to him. He played ok a few times this year and had a couple of pretty good games, but as I said "at Times" I have been really embarrassed for him, and I think he is one who has not coped with the past. His attitude was not that of a footballer who really really cares.
  3. He has been a disgrace all year. Sort of attitude that a team trying to reinstate a culture of success and respect should not tolerate. Has to go. At times this year I honestly believe he embarrassed the club and the jumper more than any player of the last 20 years.
  4. Why get rid of Cross and then get Adcock. Would be a real insult to Daniel Cross. I know that they said to Cross that it's time to back the next generation in, so recruiting another veteran would be bonkers.
  5. Mentioned on AW tonight that We are heavy into Myers from Essendon. Roos likes him, think this might be the second time we have had a crack.
  6. Great IV on Talking Footy tonight. The Kid is a great asset for the club. Young, cheeky, natural, polite. Great ambassador.
  7. Fitzy may be needed next week, so good form is encouraging.
  8. FWIW I also heard that Demons have spoken to Motlop. Heard it this morning, I work in the industry, so take it or leave it, but was mentioned this morning.
  9. Pre-emptive strike from Roosy?
  10. Just mentioned on The Footy show that Adelaide will make a call to Goodwin. Thought they would, which is why I started thread.
  11. Cross must play on. Has been terrific this year. We would be worse without him. Fact.
  12. Its imperative that Spencer goes out and we only have Gawn. this game will be won on the ground, wet conditions, evens it right up.
  13. The offer to Hannebery clearly shows we want a good player and a mid at that and are willing to pay for it. So Prestia would have to be sounded out, as would Motlop, as would Trelor, as would Gaff.
  14. If it's wet, Them Viv Michie must play, he is a great wet weather footballer. Clean, hard, low to the ground. Slow, wet footy brings a lot back to his level. All of a sudden he is a very competitive footballer.
  15. All fair enough, and I'm of the same opinion that nothing will happen, just chatting with a few mates about it, and i I just said it wouldn't surprise me if we hear that a polite enquiry was made.
  16. In the light of the tragic circumstances of Phil Walsh, and now that sadly the Adelaide crows are in need of a senior coach, I wonder who might be on their list when they get to that point. It was well documented that Adelaide did sound out Simon Goodwin before they went down the track of appointing their coach. As it turns out Simon had accepted in principle Melbournes offer, and in a good sign, Simon did not reneg on any offer, and I have no reason to think that he won't be our coach. But I would not be surprised that if Adelaide ask the question, a heartbroken club that who knows may not recover, might ask a favourite son to consider coming home and help rebuild a club.
  17. Herald sun will make for interesting reading tomorrow.
  18. 26000 people and great rating suggest it still as popular as ever, maybe even more so. i liked it, was fun, not everything in life has to be perfect.
  19. Interestingly enough, Gawn and Nic Nat have never played against each other, so it will be interesting to see the approach.
  20. Nic Nat had nearly 43% of his Hitouts go to advantage on the weekend against Ivan Maric. Gawn only had 16% against no real ruckman. GAWN 44 H/O 15.9% HAD 19Disp 8M 6CM 1G NAITANUI 33 H/O 42.4% HAD 12Disp 0M 0CM 2G in case anyone is interested. It will be a pivotal battle. Centre Clearances can make such a difference.
  21. I've always maintained that this off season will be the Clubs most important. You think what 3-4 competent good players will do to our list. Depth, and clear our deadwood. I have no problems where we are at. Injuries have hit us, and without depth we struggle. Goodwin will have 75% better list than that of Roos when he took over.. Roos had 25% of good players, now it's probably 50-60% of list is in good shape.. Another clear out will give us a great boost. The Ox is slow but the Earth is patient.
  22. We must make the Cats backs accountable.. It's an absolute priority, otherwise Taylor will kick 5 from full back. We can't just bomb it in as that's when Cats dominate.. It's exactly what Essendond did and they had a goalless first half. Midfield goals will be key here and overlap run off half back so that we can clear Cats defenders zoning off. Play smart( not in our range I'll admit) but we can be competitive. Selwood and Johnson worry me. As does Hawkins on T Mac..
  23. Footy clubs can be the best sometimes. great to hear.
  24. would be interested in inside 50 targets.. as Hogan with 22 and Garlett with 21 Goals are way out in front then scarily its ben Newton with 7 goals is our next best. we need to find other goal kickers..
  25. And if he does, then our scoring power diminishes.. a lot. Hogan has 22 goals, Garlett 21 goals.. next best is Newton with 7.. It looms a very big problem. Unless Jeff can kick 4 and someon else can kick a gab of 3.. it is almost inevitable that we wont score 50+ points.
