As much as the last 2 weeks have need pretty ordinary, i actually thought Tuesday night we competed, we fought for most of the night. I honestly believe its a confidence thing and that can change. But thinking longer term i really believe we need to find a way to get back into R1 of this years draft, i think its critical actually and we must do whatever it takes, as what is being shown up at the moment is that we still lack a genuine game breaking mid, Oliver is a beauty and Petracca may get there, Viney is obviously a gun, but we need better class. So how do we do it? Suggestions welcome...

I think Tim Smith must be seriously in the frame.. i did hear a little whisper late last week.. didn't play Casey.. can anyone clarify if he is in fact injured?

Liam Jones was only ever a failed forward until he was tried down back. I dont mean for him to replace Oliver and play there permanently, but get him in the play.. get some spark. Anyway, seems like you know best so lets move on.

Petracca needs a rocket. He cant coast through games and he is represents our team.. his form is good when we are up and about.. people may not like it but he is a flat track bully at the moment.. he is better than that In saying that: IN:Hunt - Play him on ball, get him in the game / Pedo - No Brainer / Hannan - Natural footballer OUT: Melksham - to dumb runs away from where he should go / Bugg - no Footy IQ / Harmes: tries but limited.

His concussion issues are a big factor in play here. Goes under radar of other more public concussion sufferers..but make no mistake, its cruelling his game.

Still think TMac loss is hurting us badly. He leads up at the ball, creates space in the F50. Our entries are very ordinary. We are winning enough ball, we get it in there enough, NO 1 in comp i think, and while it seems we do score, i think it can be a lot better.

we had many passengers and still should have won ( Melk / Nev / Lever / Jeffy - all pretty ordinary) Oliver & Gawn combo may become the best in the comp didn't panic at half time - made changes to get us back in the game.

Very interested to hear that Wayne Carey will spend some time with Jesse Hogan over the coming weeks. I believe Goodwin is behind it and its very much a Football mentoring role.. some instructional work.. forward line movement. I think its a good move, a bit unlike Melbourne, but its Goodwin again on the front foot.

Simple.. Competitors.. thats what we are building, a team that will just keep having a crack.. its what some of our better teams have been built on in the past. I love it. There will be enough class in the side, but give me a team of bulls and heart anytime. As for the Weid? well, big boys take a while, so we will not know for a while. But i cannot wait to see us attack teams next year. Jayden Hunt could be an x-factor in our side, genuine outside pace, will be interesting to see how he progresses. 2016 might be the year we see a team that is capable of playing Finals sooner rather than later.

Mentioned on AW tonight that We are heavy into Myers from Essendon. Roos likes him, think this might be the second time we have had a crack.

Great IV on Talking Footy tonight. The Kid is a great asset for the club. Young, cheeky, natural, polite. Great ambassador.

FWIW I also heard that Demons have spoken to Motlop. Heard it this morning, I work in the industry, so take it or leave it, but was mentioned this morning.

Cross must play on. Has been terrific this year. We would be worse without him. Fact.

The offer to Hannebery clearly shows we want a good player and a mid at that and are willing to pay for it. So Prestia would have to be sounded out, as would Motlop, as would Trelor, as would Gaff.

I've always maintained that this off season will be the Clubs most important. You think what 3-4 competent good players will do to our list. Depth, and clear our deadwood. I have no problems where we are at. Injuries have hit us, and without depth we struggle. Goodwin will have 75% better list than that of Roos when he took over.. Roos had 25% of good players, now it's probably 50-60% of list is in good shape.. Another clear out will give us a great boost. The Ox is slow but the Earth is patient.

Can confirm that Jesse is NOT the R8 Rising Star.

We must take Baryshaw and McCartin. They are both winners, competitive and also they can play.

I understand that Roosy loves Brayshaw. Sees a lot of him as he plays with Tyler Roos. Brayshaw uses it really well and is good decision maker.
