Didn't kick a goal this week so will no doubt be dropped for Chris "0.5 goals a game" Dawes.

After the weekend's disgrace the crowd has gone from 70,000 to 55,000.

GAME DAY at Alice Springs - Round 9
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Henrietta Lumbago's topic in Melbourne Demons
Has that round 2 GWS stench about it -
Well done Cam Peterson. Still disappointed we gave away Gysberts for you, but I guess we'll have to settle for your 3 goal a week games.

GAME DAY at Alice Springs - Round 9
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Henrietta Lumbago's topic in Melbourne Demons
Earliest game day thread in recent memory. Me thinks a few are a bit excited about this one. Would be a massive chapter in our revival if we could snag 2 in a row for the first time since 2011, given we have 3 or 4 very winnable games in June and July. -
What about the games leading into round 22? Everyone's been banging on about the Bulldogs and finals games, but lets talk about how we got to that position. After losing to St Kilda by 46 points at Waverley to go 7-10, we went on to win the remaining 5 games: We beat Brisbane by 54 points at the MCG We beat Richmond by 19 points, after trailing earlier We beat Collingwood by 55 points at Vic park! We beat West Coast by 61 points on a Friday night at the G. Can those who remember, please talk about the above games.

This from Wayne Carey this morning: When Hogan was lining up for one of his three goals against the Doggies last week, rival skipper Robert Murphy was apparently doing his best to put him off by screaming "You can't miss this, you're Melbourne's great white hope". Indeed, in his 16th season, Murphy probably had every reason to believe that sledging a first-year player might work. Which is why Hogan's response, after kicking the goal, is truly priceless. "And there's your great white hope," he retorted, pointing to Tom Boyd, who was sitting on the Dogs' bench at the time.

Garlett not even looked at. Goodes 1 week.

Would be a massive step in our development if we could get the 2 wins in a row and sit at 4-5.

Jason Taylor - Is he up to it?

Who was the guru that got McDonald at 53? -
Is it just me or should Viney return via Casey for just the one game? I want fully fit players that can run out the game from start to finish.

The Rising Star Thread - Congratulations Jesse Hogan!

So which no name will get the nod ahead of Hogan this week, when it's crystal clear Hogan is better than them all. -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 8

Jack McRae not selected for the dogs (unless he's a late inclusion) 3rd year blues? -
Gee Watts is going to have a busy weekend. Centre half forward for Casey on Saturday night followed by an appointment at the G on Sunday. Good luck to him.

Dunn has a go at someone every week when we're losing. -
We're paying him at least 500k a year at 4 years in exchange for pick 20 back in 2012.Sorry but for that investment he''s been a but. How much would Tory Dickson be on this year? He kicked 7 goals today. Dawes will be lucky to kick 7 goals by the end of June.

Can anyone describe Toumpas's point of difference as a player? What will make him stand apart as an elite player vs a run of the mill AFL player with a 5 year career?

Did anyone see Cross throw his mouth guard about 30 mtrs down the field after a clanger he caused? Just a disgusting day for the club. -
Do a Michael Evans and pay out the last year of his contract. Let's not beat around the bush, the blokes been a bust. He makes Pedersen look like Wayne Carey.

If we beat the Hawks I will ...

Complain we didn't win by enough -
Because St Kilda look to be re-building a lot quicker than Melbourne. While we've spent 8 years in the bottom 4, St Kilda have only spent 2 years down there and look to be on the up as evidenced by their start to the season. Sloane WILL stay at Adelaide. He loves it over there.

hawks v Dees games are a waste of time for both clubs.
-
Which afl club do you work for, sir Paul Roos?
-
Terlich may have to have a word with Michael Evans about the ins and outs of getting delisted mid contract.I cannot fathom how Terlich will be on the list next year.

Sarcasm is hard to detect on forums but somehow I think you're comment about watts may have had a bit of sarcasm about it.
