  1. Hawthorn are pricks to deal with at trade time. They'd demand a first round draft pick and a player in return for Savage. Yet if the shoe was on the other foot and they wanted Frawley, they'd probably think a swap of fourth round draft picks would be fair.
  2. Anyone see hogans first nab cup outing v north? Anyone see that snap goal from the boundary and he didn't even celebrate it. Arrogance and class!
  3. Geez I hope you're right Dazzler. This kid has the potential of being the best player of all time
  4. If we can land Cross, a fit and healthy Jolly and an exciting midfielder from another club (Swallow, Adams, Douglas etc..)ill be happy. Under a proper coach I see so much improvement from our existing list. For some reason ill see it as a negative if Jones wins another bluey. It will have meant none of our midfielders have stepped up.
  5. I see a bit in Toumpas unlike most of the scribes in this thread. His first 5 or so games under Neeld were a complete write off. The kid had no idea what he was doing. But under Craig I saw something. I saw a young player that had a bit of time before distribution of footy, I saw a mid that made some smart decisions, unlike most of the mfc turkeys that ran around. If anyone watched the last game of the year v bulldogs they would've seen the most immaculate inside 50 pass from Toumpas to Dunn in that last qtr. I honestly see something in Toumpas. I see a footballer that has an extra few seconds to distribute a nice possession.
  6. If you think about it, getting Paul Roos and Peter Jackson were kind of like our priority pick and to demand a pick on top of this is a bit greedy. That being said I hope we get one but life moves in if we don't.
  7. Can someone please confirm what the big deal about Adams is? Apart from being charged with serious assault in a pub and getting a couple of 20 possession games, what has he done in his career to suggest he's going to be the next big thing.
  8. Adams has plenty of off field baggage. Was charged with assault in a pub circa 2012. You could technically argue that Adams is more of an issue than Martin given that Martin hasn't got a criminal record that I know of.
  9. Gysberts had been nominated twice for the NAB Rising Star and got 3 votes in a win over Essendon. Just sayin...
  10. Swallow. Was touted as being capable of being the best player of all time. Martin and Adams are huge risks as both have perceived poor characters. http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-premiership/greater-western-sydney-giants-player-taylor-adams-charged-with-assault-over-incident-in-january/story-e6frf3e3-1226339153730
  11. I think these threads should be done in December after the drafts, trades and free agent periods.
  12. Starting to get the feeling we won't get one. Sauce - Damien Barratt
  13. I would say we'll be worse than St Kilda, only because I'm used to disappointment.
  14. The only positive about having Jamar and Jolly on the same list is that at least you'll know we'll probably have at least one bona-fide first ruckman available in most or all games next year, rather than relying on Spencer of Gawn. I'd be filthy if both Jamar and Jolly were only available for 3 or 4 games.
  15. I'm all for getting Jolly on the proviso that we can get rid of Jamar who plays about 7 games a year these days.
  16. Announced on the Sunday Footy Show just then. Jolly has met with Roos and is dead keen on playing on in 2014. Surely Jamar has to be moved. Thoughts?
  17. I reckon Watts and his management will want 3 years which will see him a restricted free agent by then. While the mfc would probably prefer 2 years. This might hold up the negotiations.
  18. Mark Neeld made Dean Bailey look like Jock McHale.
  19. I wish people would stop fantasising about pick 1. GWS have pick 1!
  20. If Roos can get us 6 wins next year and a percentage around 80, I'd consider that a good result and a step in the right direction.
  21. When you have a washed up Byrnes as your starting fwd pocket, perhaps some consideration is required at Nahas.
  22. I reckon Gold Coast would want more than pick 2, considering he was drafted at pick 1.
